I canceled mine years ago. I was sick and tired of reading about Bozeman. #-o

Make no mistake, not everybody here is from Montana or Bozeman. For many, Bozeman is their little escape and they'd just as soon not read about stuff like this. Instead, they want their idyllic little town newspaper to report puff and feel-good pieces.

It's real simple; don't like? Move to a non-college mountain town. Problem solved.

I live near Bigfork. When i was young, it was a quiet lake town with good, cheap restaurants and bars, and everybody was involved in some way with the schools. Now that it's become a retirement destination, the restaurants and bars have been replaced by more expensive restaurants, real estate offices, and tourist shops. The new people moving to the area didn't like certain things and they were successful in changing them. The town is still growing but the school's enrollment is shrinking.

This lady wants to make Bozeman into a town that makes her happy every second of her life. There are 8760 hours in a year. Bobcat football games take up about 18 of those hours. That's .2% of her life annually. Still less than half a percent in a really good year.

Fortunately, MSU isn't going anywhere. Unlike Bigfork, Bozeman will remain what it is, with minor changes. It's a college town. Get over it if you don't like the 18-22 demographic, bars on main street, stadiums that disrupt the viewshed, noise that interrupts your Saturday naptime, and millions of dollars that pays for roads, ski hills, movie theaters, Costco, and most of the conveniences that made it possible for you to consider leaving California. If you don't like it, real estate is cheaper in Ennis or Absarokee and you can look at the viewshed in peace.

After all, you all want the small town life, right? What? Not THAT small? Sorry, my fault.

LOVE BIGFORK!!!

I was up there a couple of weeks ago for a wedding and if you ever want an awesome breakfast, go to Woods Bay Cafe. Best biscuits & gravy that I've ever had. :D

Some people are a lot like slinkies....... Not really good for much, but it puts a smile on your face to watch them fall down a set of stairs.

Yes, the WBG is one of the great places in the area that a lot of people (thankfully) don't know about. Or maybe it's not nice enough for people, I don't know. But great food, you're right.

Did anyone read some of the comments on the article? The count was up to 38 when I last looked. Man, for such a lovely part of the world, there are some really stupid people living among us. Wow...I mean, just dumb...get the torches and pitchforks--dumb.

I've ued Toolshed a couple times, but neither time would have been as appropriate as this one. It's not as good as your idea, but we don't have to use symbols on the forum to say it. Yours is the HBO version, mine the TBS version.
