Guess we have to whisper at game day now. I am going to ring my cowbell extra loud now just for her.

For some reason I picture Janne wearing a house coat all day long tending to her 50 cats.

Re: Laugh and then respond Part II (noise-shed)
Small Town, Big Sky BOZEMAN, MONT. Bill and Janne Hayward
Bill Hayward, a retired CPA, lived in San Francisco for 33 years. His wife, Janne, had worked as a bookkeeper in Hawaii for 20 years. But when it came time to retire, the Haywards headed to Montana. "We wanted a much smaller town," says Bill, 70, who takes courses at Montana State University and does volunteer work preparing tax returns. The Haywards say they're seeing more retirees relocating from places like Santa Fe and Jackson Hole, Wyo., to escape the crowds and the rising cost of living. No wonder: The average price of a 2,000-square-foot home in Bozeman is $120,000, there's no state sales tax, and the beauty of the area is hard to beat. Yes, winters are long, but Montanans insist they're not as harsh as one might expect. And summers are virtually humidity-free
Makes perfect sense

Hey, these people moved in when there was no stadium. oops that one does not work. This will keep them awake at nights. oops no lights yet. They have to listen to this day in and day out, oops just six saturdays. How about she's taking her senior years to mean grumpy years.

Are you kidding me? Get a life. Guess they should have asked their realtor before buying the house, if many people attended the Cats games. I will make sure I am especially loud on every home game so Janee and her hubby don't miss my every word.

I think she is right, there should be a city ordinance...............on whiny letters-to-the-editor!
I do the PA for high school football games in our little town and people who don't go to the game comment that they don't need to....they can hear me all over town.....and they like the updates!

Re: Laugh and then respond Part II (noise-shed)
When I read this and the comments the first question that came to mind was I wonder if she bought her house from the Cali transplant real estate agent that complained about the viewshed?
Also I Lewistown I live on the opposite end of town from the fairgrounds and can still hear when the have AMX races, We also hear any activities at the HS football field / track facility.
The last thing I thought was that this is really cool that the sound is that clear from a mile away

Re: Laugh and then respond Part II (noise-shed)
It's just typical people who aren't from the state think they know what football means to the people of Montana but they flat out just don't get what it means for most MSU fans. If your gonna complain about the noise at least have a base for your argument. Don't come here and spout off about noisehed when there is plenty of places to go where there is no football , just old people driving around in carts. I don't know maybe a retirement communty in AZ or move up to the great Hi-Line where I can assure you there is no noiseshed.

Re: Laugh and then respond Part II (noise-shed)
Typical "not in my back yard" mentality. What is funny is that the games are within the already-established city noise ordinance.
I'm sure she is not complaining about the $$ that home football games bring to the community...
