The bottom line is Mick and the Cats were picked last, and he did a great job to get second. Give the guy some props, plus if any of you idiots know how the recruiting process goes, you know how hard it is to bring so many JUCO guys in and get them to gel, and be successful. Dumby up and give Mick the cats the respect they have coming. BOTTOM LINE CATS WERE SECOND NOT LAST, SOME OF YOU NEED TO REALIZE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But? what to do about the fade. The Feb. fade by the fading Bobcats? If only you could win a conference in January.

Okay, I'm and idiot

How badly did we manhandle Washington in Seattle last year? How many top five seeds start at least two freshmen? But I know, this is just the Big Sky...Besides, it's snowing and I don't have anything better to do than possibly drive to Glasgow and have a few but there's way too many sh-t brown license plates over there, so let's see if we can get a discussion going in here

If not...damn, I've only got 8 left in the fridge

Grizzlies fired Holst after he made it to the NCAA tourney....look where they are now. I don't think that if someone does something great one year and is mediocre the rest of his time we deserve to keep lowering the standard. Fact is we have not gotten to the tourney since 96. So why do you think we don't get more stud recruits, we don't have exposure. I think that if we made it to the tourney more than once every 15 years we would generate a lot more interest.
How does a coach that knows he won't be fired get his players inspired....he doesn't have to because even if they lose we won't fire him.

Blaine Taylor...
lbbf - I tipped my hat to Durham. I don't think the Cats would have been any worse without him...just my opinion.
Durahm will forget more than I will ever know about coaching college hoops, but I do have enough experience to recognize when players have tuned out a coach.

We all realize this, and that is why a lot of the talk has been quelled. Most of the problems with Mick stem from years of murmurs, not just this year. I am looking at next year as the judge for basketball. If Mick cannot do better with this team than he did this year, there is no point in having him around anymore. He has had plenty of time to get this program to the "next" level (not mid-major level, but BSC top 3 every year level). He just hasn't done that very often, and if he can't take a group that had a pretty solid year and do even better, then I'm jumping on the oust Durham wagon. If we win the championship, or at LEAST the Sky, he buys himself more time. He is going to have to have several succesful years before he shakes all his critics.

loyalbbfan has it right, every one needs to remember that going to the NCAA tourny once every 16 years is great, what more do you people want?
Mick just might be one of the best persons EVER to be employed at MSU!!!
We should all be satisfied, and continue to wait for championships.
loyallbbfan your standards must be high, as long as we have the nations most nice coach things are great!
now fiip that big mack and get back to work
