Jumpin Jameel Pugh gets 25 points and 7 rebounds stands 6-5 and has been invited to ESPN slam dunk deal. Leading scorer one of the Harris fellas only shot 3 times thurs and was 6-6 from the line but is averaging 22 in conference. Leading league at 73% after shooting 60% at line in nonconference. MSU will match up and be competitive if they can stay away from the three early. Takes a lot of team layups to keep up. The gym in sacramento is about the same size as the one in portland. When my wife and I went to a game about 4 years ago (The year we lost to the friz in the semis) there were 2,000 people in a gym that holds mabey 1,000. They stand under the baskets about 2 feet from the floor. If any of you have been to the Bozeman High gym, it is about half the size.

This is precisely why we should really take a look at the facilities and dedication to athletics when we are looking at potential Universities to add to the Big Sky Conference. Second rate athletics really hurt the overall perspective of ALL the Big Sky’s Athletics!

"Built in 1955, Hornets Nest is believed to be the oldest facility among all Division I member universities. With a seating capacity of approximately 1200, the intimate setting results in a great opportunity for the fans to be close to the action from every seat in the gym. In 2002, the Hornet men's basketball team sold out every game in Big Sky Conference play."

Talk about SPIN!...Makes it sound like the mini Staples Center.

I've went to a Montana game at this gym about 4 years ago. The best way to describe it....it's like watching a class C game in an average gym. Cat Grad, it reminds me of Nashua's gym. I would guess that it's one of the worst gyms in all of college basketball at any level.

My first words as I walked in..."you've got to be kidding me..."

I'm not sure if you've been paying attention, but a 8000-10000 seat arena has been approved at Sac State, and will be completed for 2008. Hopefully by then We'll be in the WAC or Big West... A guy can dream...

The better question would be what is the guy in the corner about to do to that poor girl. :P

  The real question is can the bobcats run? The hornets nest appears to be a pretty fast surface where Jameel Pugh has been known to float like a butterfly and Dashawn Freeman stings like a bee. Building not really relevant but the outcome of this game could be important to somebody.
