I saw where Waggoner their quarterback was hurt and did not play in the second half against the griz. Does anyone know his status this week?

In the audio clips on the Chronical bolg, the UNC coach says that he is practicing this week (non contact) and is day to day and will be a game time decision. Injury was a concusion. I'm betting that we see him.

With that type of injury and our defensive line coming back near full strength, it might not be for long. Brain bruises are a scary thing and one just hopes they're not rushing him back (or that he's not doing it himself).

I know that Most teams are very cautious about concussions any more, the do a test and are not medically cleared until the can pass it and many have a waiting period after testing. But remember that there are degrees and Thomas was back starting a week later.

Another item I saw that was interesting is that UNC is at the top of the BSC conference in turnover margin and yet only 1-6. I think they have gotten the breaks that have kept them in games but still may not have enough talent yet to win when mistakes are even or against them. I think if we don't turn the ball over and convert our offensive opportunities this game is over early.

Only at the start of it.

There really is no reason the cats don't win this one going away. I think you guys are a much better team than they are. You are playing at home, and looking for payback. I think UNC is a fairly well coached team that has shown improvement, but they are years away from getting the talent to compete on a weekly basis.

We "were supposed to" and "should have" won against them last year going away. They are much better this year than last. We don't know if we're better than last year or not. I agree I like our chances in this game but you never know. As a side note, you guys probably should have beaten Central Washington soundly... and probably UC Davis for that matter.

I am sure we will beat the Bears going away...in the first half. After that it is a crap shoot and lately there have been second halves that we have looked like the crap. This is a coaching issue.
