Does anyone know anything about whats going on with this guy Melvin Mitchell? Is he going to be playing for the bobcats next year? I've seen this guy playing in the intermurals gym, and belive me this guy can really play...

No thats not him... He's a 5'11 point guard out of wisconsin. he kind of looks like james clark. he has a bald head too.

Maybe he's a football player? Way back in the day I played b-ball against some MSU football players-I was amazed, some of those guys are pretty amazing basketball players.

know he played basketball at a junior college or something. He also mentioned playing high school basketball with James Clark.

HS ball with James Clark? How old is this guy, 25? Or was he a freshman when Clark was a senior or something like that....

No he will not be playing for the basketball team. He is James Clark's friend, Durham wouldn't let him walk on. I have played with him up at the gym and he is small quick but makes poor decisions and not much of a shot.

I just found out some more info on this guy to put this discussion to bed. He is 22, and he was at a junior college. He never tried to walk on. And When he was playing at his juco he averaged 17 points per game. I couldn't disagree with you more this guy really can play in my opinion.

After seeing him play, I have a hard time believing that he averaged 17 points a game.

Exactly what juco did he play at? I want to do some checking up on those stats!

Ya I can't see how he could avg. 17 a game.
Maybe I can see why Inside guy thought he was so good because when I saw him last up at the gym he was playing on the east court which us regulars call the cba. thats is where the guys that can't hang on the west side go and start their own game. Towsley would probably look like a good player over there.
