Come on guys - if we keep repeating it enough, it will happen. I know we can do it... 8)

Ok - maybe I'm a bit overconfident but I'll tell you this - The Brawl of the Wild will definitely mean more to us next year. We will be playing for the title, either heads-up against the Griz, or record-wise against Eastern. Mark my words.

I don't do this for everybody. Man, I'm getting to be cooperative in my advanced age.

...and I think we have the talent coming back to beat OSU, especially next year as OSU is losing a lot this year...Don't think we'll fall short like Furman did with Pittsburgh...

Will EWU be as good next year as they were this year? I am not sure they will be.

Care to put any money on that statement?????????? Don't get me wrong I would love to see that happen (especially since my wife in an OSU Cowgirl) but that would stack up there with some of the all time biggest upsets in Cat history (probably the biggest).

Sure, I'll bet you a beer. I like to think our biggest is still the game in Hawaii when Holland almost broke his neck body surfing...or when we swept BYU, CSU, Utah, etc. and made it to our first bowl game...

Not sure if they will be or not but I know they'll still have Meyer AND Kimble. With that combo they'll have a shot at winning every game, regardles of the quality of the rest of the team.

What I would actually consider the biggest upset in Cat history was the team that went to Stillwater and had the audacity to actually win the All-College tournament rather that just show up and be the scrimmage partner, back when that tournament was the equivalent of today's Preseason NIT...Tom Storm, Jack Gillespie, the kid from Fairfield (he's been California's Coach of the Year) etc. But that should be discussed someplace else...

Yeah, they will be as good I think. I think their offense will be as good etc.. They are going to lose their big left tackle though this year so that could hurt. But I like their backup RB's that came into the game last year and I like their coaching. So they should be able to both run/throw the ball I bet which makes them DANGEROUS. I'm not sure who all they lose on defense though. Their offense will again be towards the top of the Big Sky again though.

I'm actually a little shaky with PSU. We sure haven't done well there forever it seems like...

Yes, that was becoming pretty alarming. Good thing we shook that monkey at Wash\Griz in 2002, and if memory serves, I think we squeaked one out in Flagstaff...

Shouldn't you be off someplace else with other friz fans, pumping each other... up for the big game tomorrow?

Could be 7-4, tough to say at this point. If I had to make a prediction right now, I'd say we'll be 5 and 0 in league play before heading to Eastern. Probably 7 and 2 overall.

P.S. This is a very tough schedule but one that I'm proud of. At least that is one thing that no Griz fan can hold over us - strength of schedule. If tomorrow ends like I think it will, you will be crowned the 1-AA champions, and that's after playing a full div. 1 slate. How are you following that up? From what I've heard, by playing Southwest Hawaii Technical Insitute and Northeastern South Dakota State Beauty College. You big bullies!!!

That's a hell of a schedule...no room for a slow start next year on either side of the ball.

catatac: I hear NSDSBC is getting a couple blue-chip transfers from North-Central Minnesota Cosmetology Academy. They could be pretty tough next year.

With today's team, meaning no transfers coming in to fill holes on defense, I think this team can go possibly 7-4. That wont get us into the playoffs.

If the right kids step up in key positions....Domineck on the O...on the D, someone like Pappich, Matakis and the DBs come back healthy...then I honestly think MSU will be hosting playoff game(s).

This team is primed...just need to plug a couple holes. I fully expect to see a preseason ranking around #10 in the nation when the polls come out next year. EWU and UM...hovering right around there too, although I'd say UM has many holes to fill as well.
