2 football verbal commits from Great Falls
Today's Great Falls Tribune reports (no online edition) that Chase Gazzaro and Jeff Hansen from CMR have verballed to MSU. Chase is an All-State linebacker, punt and kick returner, and Jeff is an All-State Offensive Tackle.

Rogers is 275, O'tool 272, Papich 260, Matakais 258 so he would be in the middle of the mix weight wise at DL position. Papich and Matakis will probably be about 5-10 pounds heavier by next year as well I bet.Cat Pride wrote:Hansen would right now be our biggest D-lineman at 255 - even if he's slated for the OL. I like the verbals, anytime MSU can get CMR kids is a good thing.wbtfg wrote:Hansen is 6'4 255lbs, and Gazzerro is 5'11 190. Both were first team All-State selections.

Thanks for the correction Cardiac. Those weights make my day. We might actually have some size on the DL next year. I've heard rumors of the Cats going after William Kofe again. Anybody know whats up? If I remember right, he was going to be a stud before he left on his mission.CARDIAC_CATS wrote:Rogers is 275, O'tool 272, Papich 260, Matakais 258 so he would be in the middle of the mix weight wise at DL position. On Kramer's radio show last week, he said that he thought we had a verbal from a JC DL, who is very familiar with the MSU program. I would assume that would be either Koffe or Eric Laumitilla (another promising young DL who left for a mission trip). Thanks for the correction Cardiac. Those weights make my day. I would also like to see Brandon Hoffenbacker out of Kalispell in the middle of that D Line as well.

Excellent! I'd love to have Kofe back, and Laumitilla would be great too. As for Hoffenbacker, I've heard he is struggling to even graduate. If he does, he has offers from big time schools on the east and west coast.wbtfg wrote:On Kramer's radio show last week, he said that he thought we had a verbal from a JC DL, who is very familiar with the MSU program. Rumor...ok it was on TV last night that Jamie Green from Billings Senior 6 foot 3 Wideout will be a cat. He sounded disapointed the Griz didn't contact him so the Griz may pull another Carlson on this kid. From what I've seen he has good speed for a Montana kid.'
Edit " They way it sounds Kramer might have his best class of Montana kids ever"

According to Rivals, Mullins has 'Medium' interest in Oregon, North Texas and TCU. No offers or visits as of yet. He would look good as a Bobcat.
Speaking of Great Falls native tight ends, has anyone heard anything of Goodman since he went to UDub? I know he was going to be out the whole year anyway but things aren't exactly looking great at Washington lately. I wonder if there is any chance of him coming back to MSU. Just wishful thinking I suppose.

both kids are very excited to be cats...
hanson has always wanted to be a cat
talking to a good source hanson is said to be the best lineman they have had in 10 years. he is a very smart kid book wise which is a plus.
i heard they are looking at playing chase at linebacker..i thought he might be a hard hitting safety though..seems to have a great nose for the ball and can also run
word is he is the only kid in cmr history to do the following in one season..return a punt, kick and pick in the same year...also add in he is a great running back as proven by the state chipper
as for mullins he is weighing his options..very book smart kid who is also looking at the ivy league

I hear the exact same thing. DE or OT if Jason is going to see the field at UW. Too slow for a TE in the Pac-10.gfallscat wrote:goodman is at a juco in seattle

Here's a list of the AA All-State team:
I assume that "Jamie Green" is the same person as Derek Green????
Also, I know that Brad Sternberg (1st team Jr. OT out of Helena High) is a HUGE Bobcat fan, and I expect that we will be hearing about him verbaling around this time next year...hopefully the coaches know this as well.

Best Montana class ever! Are you on drugs? You have two committments from two players that were not recruited by the Griz, doesn't mean they can't or won't play, but let's see down the road what type of players they end up being.
I think your comment was an insult to the likes of Ione, Clark, Turnquist, Elliot, Marudas, Mollahan, O'Connor, N. Smith and many others.
When Kramer beats Montana on couple all-big sky players then you will a great class.
