Becoming an MSU athletics booster

A couple years ago, when I first decided that being an MSU booster sounded like a cool thing to do, I remember having to do a bit of research to figure out exactly what that meant and how to go about contacting someone to sign up.
For those of you who are not currently boosters, or perhaps just recently became boosters, do you think the information is out there and that the awareness of the opportunities to donate to the MSU ASA are commonly known by MSU alums/friends?
I only ask this as I am wondering if it is better now than it used to be several years ago, and also whether there is a large segment of the MSU alum population that is simply unaware of the opportunities to contribute to the ASA. Knowing that things are often much easier to see and assess regarding items like this from the outside as opposed to inside an organization, perhaps this is another area where the opinions of those "out in the field" could provide some constructive insights to the people working hard within the MSU athletic department to continue to improve the experience for both the student-athletes as well as all of us.
