Very good question. Very doubtful. Sorry Catatac. But I am pretty sure if the Cats can deliver a good beating to the Grizz, it may cause some unfortunate plans for a home game? Maybe?? I don't know.

Theoretically, if it was a blowout, the committee would almost have to at least consider it. If MSU had 4 losses, but one was to a 1-A, while UM had 3 non 1-A losses, it would at least give them pause to include UM and exclude MSU if MSU beat UM badly in Missoula. I'd hate to be on the committee if that scenario played out.
Maybe it would just knock us both out of the picture, and Cal Poly would take the spot.

There weren't any NAIA wins.

The Adams apples were Division II! Come on, don't diss us like that.

I'm not counting the DII win, just like I'm not counting the 1A loss. So that equals that we would only have 6 DII wins if we beat the Griz. Northern Iowa has 4 losses, 1 to a DI and the other 3 to ranked 1AA's, so if any team could get in with 4 losses, (It hasn't happened since 1994) it would probably be them. Like I said, There's a much higher probability that I'll win the lottery AND get struck by lightning tonight than the Cats getting an at-large bid. I was merely wondering if Kramer would be correct in telling his team that it was not an impossibility to get in if they demolished the Griz!

The Cats have already been to the playoffs for two years on questionable merits. When they set up the conference automatic bid I'm sure they were assuming that usually the conference champ or co-champ would be better than having four or five losses. Especially not twice in a row.
No way the Cats get in. No hope. No prayer. Saturday is the end of the season for the Bobcats.

112 to zip you say? Let me think....yes, yes some things would change if the Cats beat the Griz 112 to zip.
Things that would happen if the Cats beat the Griz 112 to zip:
-Sportin' Life would eat his computer moniter
-the world would fall off its axis
-the four horsemen of the apocolypse would appear on the horizon
-Lulay would get consideration as a Payton candidate
-Peace in Palestine and Isreal would start to spread to the rest of the Middle East
-The Cubs would win the World Series
-The Yellowstone caldera would commence the big eruption
Things that wouldn't happen if the Cats beat the Griz 112-zip:
-The Cats would make the 1AA playoffs.

If the Cats beat the Griz 112 to 0, I think they would make the playoffs. Now if only we had the chance to find out who was right....
If that score actually came to pass, I would also expect to finally get an unsolicited call from Kelly Hu begging me to come spend the night with her. That would be a pretty sweet day, all in all.

Let us flip this around: What happens if the Griz win 72 to 10 (Beat Weber that bad 6 years ago) Do the Griz get a Seed? Do you cat fans know what a seed is? They only seed the top 4 teams in the Playoffs. I think that would bump the Griz into a 4 seed.

I think that the Cats getting an at-large bid is probably a pipe dream... but hey, we are playing in Missoula!
In all seriousness, it isn't outside the realm of far, distant possibility, but about 15 things would all need to happen in our favor for it to actually happen. I think we may have used that kind of luck up two years ago, unfortunately...
