From today's Missoulian...
"We're right back to where we feel comfortable," MSU coach Mike Kramer told the Bozeman Chronicle after his team's first Big Sky loss. "This is the way we are. We cannot handle prosperity."
Why does coach kramer make statements like this?

Truthfulness? Historical record?
Hey sometimes the truth hurts. But that same historical record has shown the Cats come back from disappointment and play their best in the big games when their backs are against the wall.

Sad but true. How many times over the past two seasons have we had a chance to really take that next step up as a program and laid an egg? Last Saturday was just the latest example and I think Kramer's comments probably reflected his level of frustration (I think we all share that). With three weeks left in the season all the analysis we were getting showed us in the playoffs even likely hosting a game if we were to win 2 of the last 3 games. Losing the first one to the worst of the three teams is not a good start. I think BozoneCat wrote after the loss that this is the type of game that makes it is hard to be a Cat fan. I guess it is also the type of game that makes it hard to be a Cat coach as well.
However, when a program like this wins it all I think it is more rewarding in the end. Just ask the Red Sox and Yankees this season.

"WYCAT, I served with the Red Sox. I knew the Red Sox. The Red Sox were friends of mine. WYCAT, you're not the Red Sox."
