Re: How do Cats stack up against Griz
The griz were good until they had to stop the run at the end, and they couldn't do it. Cats are much better in the trenches and that paid off at the end. Could've scored again if we needed to, but didn't need it and took a knee.

That's what I told someone who didn't watch the game. Cats were in position, and driving, to score again, but they didn't need to. Just take the win.

Agreed. Scoring give the ball back and a chance for the gris to work their stupid magic. While I would’ve loved another score, just to twist the knife, Vigen made the right call by holding the ball tight.
griz fans; keeping it classy and gracious in winning since ... well, never.

Meh, the Cats won by 3. Several true momentum swings. Griz are good and we should give them credit. Losing the # of players they do will make next year a challenge for them nit the portal gives everyone a chance.

Re: How do Cats stack up against Griz
This was a very Bobby Griz Team the Cats beat today. They will say our guys played dirty, I will admit I think a few let their emotions get to them at times, however, it was always a reaction to something a Griz player was doing, an example is holding Long down after that play, and I think the defender tried or did give him a turkey tap too. They play in the gray and push the boundaries to try and get in our heads. However, this is not a Cats team that is going to put up with that, they over matched the Griz physically and in fact began to get in their heads. The Griz crowd had absolutely zero impact on our team today, and in fact it seemed to motivate them! This is a tough and chippy Bobcat group and I think this down week is much needed!

Give ref crew credit. They let some ****** go. A few Brawls they they can't wait to throw flags. On PF I remember was on Eiden and I don't think he gets it if Griz helmet doesn't come off.SparkCat wrote: ↑Sat Nov 22, 2025 8:07 pmThis was a very Bobby Griz Team the Cats beat today. Helmet was coming off either way at no fault of Eiden, swatting it got him in trouble.tetoncat wrote: ↑Sat Nov 22, 2025 9:08 pmGive ref crew credit. They let some ****** go. Why!? Didn’t they bring in 40 or so portal players this year? Rinse and repeat for them.

They did, but lost by 3 to a very good team. Will host at least 2 playoff games. 11-1 So portal has worked for them this year. Not sure how that isn't successfulcatzz wrote: ↑Sat Nov 22, 2025 9:53 pmWhy!? Didn’t they bring in 40 or so portal players this year? Rinse and repeat for them.

Re: How do Cats stack up against Griz
Good observation. Both teams were chippy, and there was some extracurricular stuff by both teams, but they let them play and nothing got out of hand. Overall, it was a pretty well officiated game. LIGHT YEARS better than the awful Jim Crowley crew from last week. Were there a couple missed holding calls? Sure, but that happens every game, and I saw some on both teams that weren't called. Nice thing was that there weren't a ton of long reviews.tetoncat wrote: ↑Sat Nov 22, 2025 9:08 pmGive ref crew credit. They let some ****** go. A few Brawls they they can't wait to throw flags. Successful this year. Difficult to do every year. Not a way to build a program long term imo.tetoncat wrote: ↑Sat Nov 22, 2025 10:20 pmThey did, but lost by 3 to a very good team. Oh I agree not a great program plan. But OP says they will never be successful. They are successful this year. Just not against CatsBelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Sat Nov 22, 2025 11:17 pmSuccessful this year. Difficult to do every year.
