I see a lot of WNBA stars do the same thing and I was curious why and found this.

Could be a medical thing too.

Based on his choice of gloves I doubt it has anything to do with performance/medical benefits.AFCAT wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 4:54 pmI see a lot of WNBA stars do the same thing and I was curious why and found this.

The REAL Farley Gerber!? Talk about rare air!
In all seriousness though, that it an impressive accomplishment.

Duncan placed 6th in the US Olympic trials. I think the top 2 (maybe 3) went on to Paris.

The Olympics is the 3000 M SteepleChase - this was 2000 M SteepleChase. He missed 3rd at the trials by under 3 seconds. First by a touch over 7 seconds.wbtfg wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 7:16 pmDuncan placed 6th in the US Olympic trials. I think the top 2 (maybe 3) went on to Paris.

Re: Random stuff 2024
Pretty solid considering our 2 guys have been splitting reps, and Britten and Powell are considered two of the best backs in the FCS.PortlandCat90 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 7:58 amFCS Rushing Leaders....I've deleted the "Games Played" column....

Maine coaches radio show. Game talk starts around 15:30. Fun listening to the personal connections through college football. The Maine head coach actually recruited Grebe when the coach was at Yale and Grebe was at Choate Academy.

I'm pretty sure Duncan led that finals race at the Olympic trials until the last 150 meters or so...or am I thinking of something else? It makes sense that he would be elite in a little bit shorter race--just needs to keep plugging away at being elite for the full 3000.RockyBearCat wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 7:30 pmThe Olympics is the 3000 M SteepleChase - this was 2000 M SteepleChase. I watched the Olympic Trials and Duncan was never in the lead. I believe you're thinking of the 2022 NCAA Final when he led the entire race but the Eastern Kentucky guy passed him on the final 100 meters.kennethnoisewater wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 10:04 amI'm pretty sure Duncan led that finals race at the Olympic trials until the last 150 meters or so...or am I thinking of something else? Gotcha, I might even be thinking of someone else because it was definitely more recent than 2022 in my head. Shoot, it could've been someone in High School running the mile for all I know...watch too much track!MSU01 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 11:58 amI watched the Olympic Trials and Duncan was never in the lead.
