It is cold and windy in North Texas today and when I say cold I mean 25 degrees!

It’s funny, I took an Uber from the Sunday Funday party last night, because I didn’t want to wait on the charter bus and it was wicked windy and cold. I’ve been doing this Uber thing just three times and it’s worked great each time. Uber lets you know the name of your driver and the type of car, license plate, etc., before they arrive. My driver last night had the first name of Naci, pronounced Naji. That’s a name common in Turkey and I’ve been to Turkey a few times and lived there for a while as well. When he arrived, I asked if he was Naci, pronouncing it the proper way, and said hello in Turkish. He was absolutely shocked, some white guy pronouncing his name properly and knowing some of his native language. He had a huge grin on his face and said no one pronounces his name correctly and asked how I knew. I told him and we had a great ride to the hotel, chatting about Turkey and his family. This trip has been a blast and I can’t wait to cap it all off tonight with a win.

I gotta say, I’ve seen a lot of Bobcat fans, hardly any Bison fans. Now I haven’t been to any of the bars, which could be why I’m not seeing any of the gravy guzzlers, but a good turnout from the Bobcat fans so far.

I’ve been here since Friday noon. I’d say it’s 3-1 Cats to Bison. Had some good conversations with Bison fans in lobby last night and they said from 2021 they see ALOT more Cat fans also. They told me 3-1…I didn’t see a Bison fan until Thursday afternoon…down at the Stockyards.

He did us a few favors last night like stop at a Walgreens to get some Sudafed for my wife, take my son and grandson to their hotel 1/4 mile from ours, back track to ours and drop us off. He said he missed his daughter’s birthday party to work that day. We tipped him very well and he said “you just made my day, thank you so much.” Just someone trying to make it in America the right way. He had a huge smile on his face as I did mine. I have zero foreign language skills however.
