I just want to know when we start taking back BobcatNation. Seems like the operation has been suspended :coffee:

I think it's time to put this thread to rest. Everytime another person adds a criticism, it is going to evoke a response.

Don't kid yourself. If you weren't in a thread like this here, you'd be in a thread like this on egriz or maroonblood. The same people always seem to gravitate towards ... oh, wait

Then by all means Tom carry on, I hope you're well tuned up and have a few cold reserves in the frig. As for me I just got home from a long run that helped clear my head. I came to the conclusion that you can't help a man who refuses to be helped, and will take the advice of John K on this one.
Thanks John.
Maybe if the Cats win this weekend someone can start a thread titled Coaches thoughts after victory.. 8-[ What could possibly go wrong with that?
So anyway looking forward to good weather, full stadium, loud Cat fans, and a big Cat victory!
GO CATS!!!

I think the last week around here has been as bad as the end of last season. Only then the mods were on here sending people to their rooms. Hell, I got threatened with a timeout for telling someone to chill out  , they were entitled to their opinion. Seems the rules have changed. We may have taken back BobcatNation since the end of last year, but I believe the insurgents have mounted a counter offensive and have retaken some territory. No referees this week, so the baiters, the egriz trolls, the mascarading griz-fans-as-cat-fans and disgruntled Cat fans who choose their first posts to be "fire all the coaches and bench the pre-season All-American QB" - have all had free reign to wreak havoc. There's been some constructive talk about the defense and needed improvements, but frankly most of this board has been garbage this week

Disagree slightly, end of the year is the appropriate time to discuss the coaching situation. Some of you may not like it but Ash has not earned coach forever status in my book. I realize that we are not going to make a change mid season and therefore I support the student athletes and coaches we have now but if at the end of the season we have another year where we miss the mark as far as late season games go I think discussion about Ash's(and the rest of the staff's) abilities will be appropriate.

At the end of last season it was clear that there is a group of posters here who believe that because our athletes graduate, stay out of trouble and win more often than lose that Ash has been a success. I disagree with this point of view but will reserve any comments about the future of the program until our coaches have shown what they can do with this years team and a full season to improve.

KittieKop, utucats, Tom,

You guys are among the most level headed of the posters here. I don't think we need moderators to enforce rules by kicking people out. Let's just try to remind people about civil discourse.

This actually is a great message board because it has a productive culture. By that, I mean that many of the posts/threads are insightful and informative. Also, people are good about pointing out not to feed trolls. I think there are other reminders that would help. Don't pile on. Don't presume negative intention, don't make it personal. Don't take yourself too seriously.

In the end, I came here to talk about the last highlight reel catch elvis akpla made (insert appropriate player) not to get pulled into a morass of personal insults.

This is still one of the lamest posts I've ever seen. I'll go ahead and answer your questions and respond to your statement. Perhaps that will help you figure out why it's so lame.

Why haven't you been able to read everyone's posts? Just too busy?

Yes they are giving insight.
Yes they have described what they see as problems
Yes they have said there is hope.
Yes they have said what might fix this.
They probably have said things about it at QB club and to people in the loop

Those are the answers to your questions. Pretty lame, aren't they. Ask a lame question, get a lame answer. This why very few people answer questions like these. They know they're just wasting their time because the questions sound conniving, especially coming from someone who consistently questions all kinds of things the coaches and school is doing and whines about wanting to win so bad. No $hit! How did you put it? I want to win a national championship and then a second and a third and a fourth... Well guess what? So does every one else, but we don't whine about it. This is partly why you got chewed out by PapaG in that other thread.

If you want to ask questions then ask them directly. Such as, "what are the coaches saying about fixing the defense?" And, "I'm asking because my computer is broke down (which couldn't be it since you're posting) and I have no access to media reports." Or give some rational reason.

And, no, I'm not the only one that found you post strange. You got some support from the PC crowd, but initially others were mocking you as well. This isn't the first time you've pulled this $hit either and you know it. So quit hiding behind the PC crowds skirts and start posting like a man.

Some much for taking back Bobcatnation. There is no reason for it except to be an a$$. If the mods don't act on this, there is no hope. This post is completely unjustified and quite frankly, bracket's privileges should be removed.

Maybe a bit harsh, but not 100% wrong either.. Unfortunately MSU has not made it it's number 1 goal to he a national champion... There are way too many apologists in this organization... We need to get the attitude of a Ohio state, Florida, Texas.... Win at a high level, or you are gone... Even the Griz expect championships... We are excited about winning seasons... That attitude is obviously apparent in our lack of top tier programs... Yes we have become way better, but too many people are happy with "better than the 90's" attitude. We need more championship driven attitude

This is not what you said... You said."How did you put it? I want to win a national championship and then a second and a third and a fourth"... I'm pretty sure i've never said that.
But as far as the post you quoted me on, what's your point... I'm not supposed to have opinions if they are all not positive? I thought that's what a message board was for... Being able to state your opinion...
Either way... No need to respond, because I have little respect for you, and Congratulations you have made this board no fun for me to be a part of... I hope you feel better about yourself and make the Bobcat fan base proud..

Hey Bracket, you are a dumbass. It was me that said I want 1, 2, 3 and then a 4th NC. What is funny is that you sit here and write like you are some tough guy, that we should respect because you have all this knowledge. Yet you are so F*ing stupid you can't even call out the right person. I appreciate people asking about the coaches, players and state of our program. Most people on here are living in a dream land that our program doesn't have any flaws, and it does. People should be allowed to speak without being treated like they did something wrong or said something lame. We all say stupid stuff. That's why we are on here and not the ones on the field. you get mad for us critizing players and coaches, yet you are doing the same thing to a former player and a loyal fan.

Bracket has made this a very spiteful and antagonizing board. If the mods would take BN BACK, they would act on this. Ridiculous. Come on mods! He has a clear history of abuse. Why don't we do vote on it???

You've got my vote. He's pretty much the only Cat poster here who makes people not want to post for fear of being mocked, belittled, and shamed for simply asking the wrong question. This week isn't the first time he's done it and I'm sure it won't be the last.
