at the end of the day, Vigen is ours, we will protect him too and call out wazzu.
You are the poster boy for just how much of a circle jerk the NDSU fanbase has become.
Lakes has been around forever, all in all NDSU folks are pretty good.
I think that’s mostly fair.
But some of the stuff I read from “fans” indicates a level of dumbassery that we need to put to bed come January 6th.

I've always liked him. He roots for his team, but has always treated us with respect.
all good boys. State schools stick together. between Brent Molly & Shep good friends of mine, i'd root for montana state if I wasnt at NDSU
Vig's wanted Wazzu job, hell he flew to henderson private to meet them , but Wazzu screwed him basically. oh well.. lets have a fun week ourselves!

Seriously. If you were really his friend you wouldn't be broadcasting his activities all over a message board. So... either you're not nearly as close to vigens as you say (most likely imo) or you're just throwing stuff out to stir ****** (also not unlikely).

So through this entire process not one member of the media called Vigen and asked for a quote or an update? Why is that?

I'd imagine they probably did, at least via Text, but nobody wanted to pull a Stuber before anything was finalized. (sorry

BV had absolutely nothing to gain by saying anything till pen met paper. Maybe they asked but I doubt they would because they know the answer was no comment until the deal was done. We probably will never know the 100% truth.
This is 1000% just my opinion but I think WSU wanted him to announce and start immediately and BV wanted to see this season through at MSU. The second choice was Rodgers and he was available now. Also maybe Vigen wasn't totally sold on moving from a program in place to one that looks to need a major rebuild. Or the family pushed back on moving to Pullman. Honestly it could be all, some, or none of these things. He might have interviewed but was never offered (this one I don't believe).

Good hire for the Jacks. Up and coming coach, familiar with the program (player & coach), and someone that might be able to keep alot of the current roster from jumping to the portal.

I would honestly bet my mortgage on Vigen being here tru the end of his new contract. I'll be surprised if he's still here in February 2026

I mean, it made sense in my head...
What I should have said was "I'd bet my mortgage that Vigen WON'T be coach of the Bobcats in 4 years." That's how confident I am that he'll get an offer he can't refuse before then. And I don't blame him; it will be life-changing, financially. I trust that Costello will backfill with a strong replacement. I just hope he goes somewhere better than Wazzu. And that's not a slight to Wazzu, I like Pullman and they have a strong football tradition. But right now, that place is a hot mess for many reasons. Hoping it's somewhere like San Diego State, Fresno State, or a lower tier P4 team with better resources.

I'd say about 100 of us know about it, so doubt i'm not breaking anyone's trust with it. Vigen will always be a Bison, that's why we were hoping he'd move on so we don't have to play each other again, its very nerve wracking. last frisco game Brent was a mess and I don't blame him one bit. This time he will be much cooler about it. should be a whale of a game!

So SDSU is in minor rebuild mode after losing entire coaching staff and a ton of top talent to the portal AND they hired the DC that the Cats rolled twice this season as their new coach? Crazy how much better I feel about next year’s Gold Rush than I did just a couple weeks ago.

Agreed. We'll be favored in that game. Probably by a fair bit. I bet they'll be a playoff team by the end of the year though, just because the fcs is what it is now. Chance to post a quality win.

It's hard to picture SDSU being
bad at any time in the near future.
