I’m no medical expert, and maybe I’m conspiracy theorizing here, but if someone had to go get stitches, I would assume there would be some sort of evidence of blood. I watched the replay numerous times and didn’t see any blood. I didn’t see blood on Brody’s socks/shoes/pants when he came back in. Anytime I’ve I’d to get stitches it was quite obvious to everyone around me that I had a big bloody gash.iaafan wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 7:17 pmHe had to go to the locker room and get stitches.wbtfg wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 6:43 pmBrody came back in. You may have a point there but then again Brody has ice running through his veins which would be much harder to detect.wbtfg wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 4:50 pmI’m no medical expert, and maybe I’m conspiracy theorizing here, but if someone had to go get stitches, I would assume there would be some sort of evidence of blood. I've actually heard that Brody has tried to donate blood, but was turned away because the normal human circulatory system isn't strong enough to pump his blood.
But he still donates blood, just never his own.

I was at the game and didn’t see the chop block. Some suggestioning it was intentional? Any thoughts? What quarter did it happen in?

One was called for a penalty, you can see it pretty clearly on that play,bobcatfan123 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:04 pmI was at the game and didn’t see the chop block. Some suggestioning it was intentional? Any thoughts? What quarter did it happen in?
I saw another play later in the game where they ran the same block against him.
If a blocker comes across the formation he can't go low on the initial hit, they would bring the TE across the formation and go directly for his legs.

It was intentional, but I don’t think it was illegal. Happened at roughly 1hr 5min into the game.bobcatfan123 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:04 pmI was at the game and didn’t see the chop block. Some suggestioning it was intentional? Any thoughts? What quarter did it happen in?

Its illegal, player can not come across the formation and block below the waistwbtfg wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:13 pmIt was intentional, but I don’t think it was illegal. I thought the player just had to be within the tackle box.cats2506 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:17 pmIts illegal, player can not come across the formation and block below the waistwbtfg wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:13 pmIt was intentional, but I don’t think it was illegal. I’ll admit, I don’t know the rule. But neither Gregorak or Vigen seems to take issue with it.
Edit: I just googled the rule.
“Blocking below the waist [to be allowed] only by linemen and stationary backs inside the tackle box. Outside the tackle box on scrimmage plays, blocking below the waist will be prohibited.”

That one was a chop clock where one player was engaged high and another came in and blocked low.cats2506 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:56 pmIt was correctly called as a penalty in one playwbtfg wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:19 pmI thought the player just had to be within the tackle box.cats2506 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:17 pmIts illegal, player can not come across the formation and block below the waistwbtfg wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:13 pmIt was intentional, but I don’t think it was illegal. Personal foul, illegal block below the waist, not a chop block.wbtfg wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 8:03 pmThat one was a chop clock where one player was engaged high and another came in and blocked low.cats2506 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:56 pmIt was correctly called as a penalty in one playwbtfg wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:19 pmI thought the player just had to be within the tackle box.cats2506 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:17 pmIts illegal, player can not come across the formation and block below the waistwbtfg wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:13 pmIt was intentional, but I don’t think it was illegal. Just went and watched and you’re right on the money. Gregorak thought it was a chop, but clearly it wasn’t. Those two plays were nearly identical where the TE lines up behind the tackle and comes across the formation and dives at Brody’s knees.BleedingBLue wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 9:17 pmPersonal foul, illegal block below the waist, not a chop block.wbtfg wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 8:03 pmThat one was a chop clock where one player was engaged high and another came in and blocked low.cats2506 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:56 pmIt was correctly called as a penalty in one playwbtfg wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:19 pmI thought the player just had to be within the tackle box.cats2506 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:17 pmIts illegal, player can not come across the formation and block below the waistwbtfg wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 7:13 pmIt was intentional, but I don’t think it was illegal. It happened a couple times. I counted 2 others where the DE got inside quick enough the blocker whiffed. I was yelling immediately on the one that actually got called, that is a dangerous block.wbtfg wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 9:55 pmJust went and watched and you’re right on the money. Maybe reading too much into it, however, I did notice Julius participated in the Senior Day festivities, per a new video with Vigen addressing the seniors. Aside from the injury happening, I wonder if he also had decided to not redshirt and or stay here.

Or, he hasn't made a final decision yet and was encouraged to participate in Senior Day in case he doesn't return. I'd imagine it's a much easier decision to make after the season is over, and some players might change their minds with a little more time to reflect on their lives and what they want to do. Madison Jackson/Hall on the WBB team is a good example of that.

Unfortunately if he hurt his knee his decision might be made for him. He’s likely nearly 12 months out if it’s as serious as his other one.
