I didn't read through the aftermath in this thread but I wanted to put this out and this seemed like the best spot.

As great as last years team was:
They still required a miraculous comeback to win against UNM getting the go ahead TD with mere seconds left.
The game was tied in Cheney until Tommy ripped off a long TD run to go ahead right before the beginning of the 4th.
A 2 point conversion had to be stopped to keep Davis from tying it up at the very end of the game.
Even at Idaho St the Bengals kicked a FG to make it 17-10 at the start of the 4th.

Winning games on the road is hard and last years team didn't have a win this definitive against a team of this caliber despite being one of the all time best. It gives me a lot of optimism for the rest of the season and especially November 22.

“A lot of credit to Montana State,” Wright said. “They’re a really good football team. They’re physical. They’re mentally tough. Credit to their fans. They had a great turnout on the road by their supporters.” - AZ Daily Sun

“I think we got worn down,” Wright said. “They had taken the momentum of the game and really held on to it and were wearing us down. We weren’t doing much on offense. The defense had to be on the field a lot in the second half. You’re just not going to be able to hold up that long against a really good team like that.”

Lumberjacks head coach Brian Wright said that while those plays put an abrupt halt to his team’s momentum, they didn’t do enough after them to have a fighting chance to come back.

“At the end of the day, we still weren’t making some of the stops, and we weren’t generating enough offense anyway, so I don’t know if the outcome of the game would have been that much different,” Wright said.

Is there a video of his postgame presser? I wasn't able to find it.

It was the middle 8. We snowballed that middle 8 (more like 12) and they didn't gave a chance after that.

I asked the same question yesterday. I don’t think that they do. That’s why I found the story.
