I knew the games was awesome but I forgot how close we really were to losing that amazing use of the timeout, great comeback cats! 2 years ago knew the outcome but was still nervous
If you go back to the broadcast you can read Choate's lips saying "I'm going to use a timeout" right before the 1st and goal play. Just adds to everything that took place that final drive
Watching Cats EWU (2015) on Root. Cats up 37 to 27 with 7 mins left in the 3rd. I had forgotten how good this game was.
Watching too! I’ve always wanted to see this game. I listened to it from the seat of the combine. I remember how I was on the edge of my seat(literally) the whole game.

Hate that ending though. Oof. What an awesome crowd that day.
Great replay, almost as good as when we saw it live!
While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

Ya, that was one where watching the replay... there were so many chances for the Cats to win, especially at the end, 4th and 10!, how we almost got VA on that run, then how we had chances to get within FG range, etc. Was super frustrating to watch, however - I also remember SEVERAL times where EWU had wide open receivers and VA was just not on his game, especially in the 1st half. We needed to play better in the secondary. Sadly I think the better team won that day.
During the game, and even now, I still think we should have taken a shotgun snap, rolled TA out and had him throw a bomb to Jonsen (purposely throw OB) instead of taking a snap under center those last 2 plays.
I cannot help but compare the 2018 Miracle in Missoula and the 2019 Buttkicking in Bozeman (have we named this total domination)? Our 2019 team was absolutely dominant on both sides of the ball. I am so excited about the trajectory of the program. You don’t hear any Griz fans joking about getting Choate an extension any more!!
One of the things I loved about this play was how hard Choate smacked down a reporter in the after game. I don't remember exactly who the reporter was or the exact wording of the question, but it was something along the lines of the emotional swing of the griz having a touchdown taken away from them to which Choate responded, "It wasn't a touchdown. It was a dead ball."

Cool. I missed that game, but if it's as tough to watch as it was to follow on the game tracker, then maybe I don't want to see it. We outplayed them, but barely won. Outgained them 519 to 259 in yards. Doubled them up.
