I second the "rock this house" complaint. At its best it's still pretty lame.
I think it could be made better if the cheerleaders speed up the cheer. Or gradually speed it up. Rock......This......House.......Rock...this...house...Rock..This..House..Rock.This.House.ROCKTHISHOUSEROCKTHISHOUSEROCKTHISHOUSE>.......

And I know it's been brought up before, but when are we ever gonna hear Cat Scratch Fever that fits PERFECTLY?
Cat scratch fever is a dated awful song
And when it's been played in the last, as it has several times. It gets moderately good response if any

That might make it better but really the House side of the field(which I'm ashamed to say I'm in) doesn't give a rats ass and I usually hear about two people yell.
I'm sure it's hard to come up with things to do in all these lulls but that one has fallen on its face so many times I can't believe it hasn't been replaced with something.

But someone needs to teach the student section what OUR way of singing it entails. I could see a bunch over there starting in with " hey hey what do you say lets get....."not esg gcg.

Oh no. If "Mony Mony" gets played, as a Cat fan, ESG GCG must be sung loudly for all to hear. That's part of that song.

Absolutely. I was super pissed when they stopped playing it. So glad it's back

Yep, it's been absent for far too long.
Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

"Rock this house" takes too long to develop and lasts too long. If anyone does yell along in our area, they usually quit after the first couple rounds. Mostly I hear groans or jokes about it when the cheerleaders run out with the signs.

Agreed. But I am in the ROCK section and rock beats everything.

Yeah...the "Rock This House" is probably the single most lamest thing about the gameday experience. Everyone around just makes fun of it. Would love to see it go away. I know there is sponsorship money behind it, so maybe it can replaced with something a little more exciting???

The wave is timeless! My parents like RTH and love yelling along.

Yes. It's part of a big sponsorship deal with The Ridge, at least it was when it started.
griz fans; keeping it classy and gracious in winning since ... well, never.
Whether you like the Rock this House chant or not, there's no need to get rid of it if it's sponsored and the Ridge is paying to have it done every game with their name on it. Declining sponsorship deals because a few fans think a chant is dumb isn't the way to build a strong Athletic Department!
I'm assuming The Ridge will find something else to sponsor if they know the fans think RTH is on the lame side. You advertise to create a positive association.

The wave is a great crowd participation stunt! Much better than RTH.
Here is another wild thought. Can we replace RTH with something directed at our rivals to the west? Maybe the whole stadium doing the "Poooorrrrr Grizliieeeesss". (ESGGCG is too vulgar for the PR police). That would be cool! Every single game regardless of who we play. It could be a new tradition! And it would definitely piss off the people in dark maroon!
