Re: Fans leaving early
at least we have fans. not that long ago, if 20 people left the stadium it would have been a 10% loss in crowd size. I don't think that all 20000 fans there on saturday were really life-long fans. Band wagon fans built that stadium.
60% of the time, it works every time

It's been said, but Ash has asked that the fans be back. And as it has also been said; I pay good money for my tickets, so I'm going to use them. The crowd does have a big affect on the game and our opponents. If you don't think that, well ... I don't know how else to say it but you're wrong.
At the end of the day, it's a respect thing. These kids and these coach bust their ass day in and day out. They work damn hard. I, for one, am going to show up and show them that I appreciate their hard work.
Defeatist attitude? WTF? So, should we shut down the concession stands, lock the bathrooms, and institute no talking zones in the concourse areas so even those non-tailgating people will get their a$$es back in the seats?

I never said that the crowd doesn't have an effect on a game, you put those words into my mouth. What I said was that the players and coaches should be focused enough to play the game regardless of it's in front of 1,000 fans or 20,000 fans. Eastern regularly plays to half full stadiums and I seem to remember a National Championship in their recent past.
Retiring my moniker. It's time to ride off into the sunset. It's been a fun ride. Go Cats.

And half full is less than 5000 folks!

every week. why don't we put this on hold for the next week and a half and we can pick it back up next saturday evening when undoubtedly not every fan will be in their seats at halftime and win or lose some fans will dare to leave the game early. it will happen, so maybe we just pick up where we leave off today.

Let me lay out for you. I'll get you a flow chart if it's still hard to understand ...
To sit here and say, "Welp, that's just the way it is. Nothing we can do," and the like is a defeatist attitude. To simply assume that there is nothing that can be done nor anything changed is acceptance of mediocrity. That's not now MSU does it and it's now how Bobcat fans should do it.
Comprende?
griz fans; keeping it classy and gracious in winning since ... well, never.

My ticket, my money, my time, my choice to be made by me. That choice is to be back in my seat at the start of the 3ed quarter.
Your ticket, your money, your time, your choice. To be made by you.
Just don't step on my toes as you come back in.

Re: Fans leaving early
That's exactly how it is for me - well said. I don't agree with a lot of the other choices out there but then again they are none of my business until you step on my toes coming back in late (unless you are handicapped, elderly, or a parents tending to young ones).Lovethecats75 wrote:My ticket, my money, my time, my choice to be made by me. Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

Their talent, their hard work, their time. Their choice to play hard for their University.Lovethecats75 wrote:My ticket, my money, my time, my choice to be made by me. That choice is to be back in my seat at the start of the 3ed quarter.

Seems to me a lot of people who post on the site expect the team to play with heart and fight on every down(of course never getting out of control and making a mistake) On top of being full time students, working part time jobs and giving their heart and soul to try and make us Cats in the stands happy week in and week out. Doesn't seem like much to ask for us to do our small part and have enough respect to park our ass in our seat and support these kids from start to finish. Of course our discussion here isn't going to change the attitude of some and I can't force anyone to stay put but I pay for my seat too and I can have the opinion that if you're not even willing to sit through the whole game than you're a hypocrite if you expect the players to play hard every down.
All due respect though to the large amount of Cat fans who have to pick up heart medication at the pharmacy. You are free to go whenever you feel chest pains.
