FTG - I will never root for the griz/frizz/jizz/mutha... oh wait - my bad. FTG!!
I cheered loud and proud when the Thundering Herd popped the big nasty zit that was the griz in the Championship game, and when the frizz got beat by James Madison (POOOOOOOR GRIZZLIES!!), my brother and I watched with great glee next to the concession stand in the Fieldhouse after a Cats bball win - ahahhaha!!! FTG!!
On a lighter note, this article -->
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/columns/s ... id=1990836 on ESPN.com has a cool Cat/Jizz rivalry reference. It is about 3/4 of the way down the page. Quite funny actually.

I can't stand the Cats.......I go on this to see what is being talked about because you guys can bring up some good points.....but I cannot root for the cats as an earlier poster said look at the rivalry.......living in Michigan is all about OSU-Michigan........as I cannot stand the Wolverines, I was dumb enough to be wearing an OSU hat at the Michigan-San Diego State game......I pretty much heard every variation of phrases known to man....you will never see a State fan root for Michigan either.......you cant be bi when it comes to those things.

even though you cheer for the dark side...I agree...choose a side...there is a line in the sand and you are on one side or the other. I hate it when people say, "oh, support our Montana boys," on either side. You either a CAT or you are a grizzly.
Bobcat born, Bobcat bred...gonna be a Bobcat till the day I'm dead.

Just because I hate everything about the grizzlies doesn't mean I don't respect them, and doesn't mean I wouldn't shake their hands after a game. Hell, I'm going to their school...
GO CATS GO!!!

I'm not sure where all this animosity comes from, but I think you Cat fans would feel better about the Griz if you had a better understanding of their fans. You see, although we Griz fans may appear to be spoiled by the success of our program, it is really you, the Cat fan, that is spoiled. Being a Griz fan is not all it's cracked up to be. For example, our football games our noisy and crowded. ESPN cameras getting in the way, crowd roar piercing your eardrums, you get the point. You Cat fans have it made, playing in a much more secluded, peaceful environment. Also, there is little drama in Griz games. It's always "WIN WIN WIN" in Missoula. With the Cats, you never know what's going to happen since they lose nearly as often as they win. Makes the game much more exciting when you don't know the outcome until the game is over. Finally, we Griz fans have no time to do our holiday shopping in December because those darned playoff games are always interfering. Again, score one for the Cat fan.
So you see, we Griz fan's aren't arrogant, we're jealous - jealous of what you have. Now, can't we all just get along and cheer for one another? Go Griz! Go Cats!

The griz fans, alumni, make you hate the school. They act like it is their personal contributions that make their team. Where were they in the seventies when they sucked? Never even bothered to go to the games, now they act like they are on the field with them. Those are the "fans" I hate the most, and believe me, I know plenty of them.

The only question I have for bobcatmaniac is: Where were all the cat fans in the 90s when they sucked? Did you know in 1984 the Griz sold out Dornblazer more times than the cats sold out Reno. It was a 2 to 1 ratio. stats are stupid so bobcatmaniac must love them.

So it was 2 for Dornblaser and 1 for Reno H? That doesn't surprise me, Dornblaser held about 2,000 spectators.....safely.
As for where I was in the 90's....I was drinking heavily.

OH, we were there, poor little jag. We were always there and we will always be there, however, not pompous and arrogant, so as not to be mistaken for a grizzmo.
