Troy was 8.5 point favorites and won their half of the conference last season with an 11-3 overall record. Troy was also playing at home. Big win for Nevada and a re-building program. Nevada also nearly took down SMU last weekend. So far, Nevada looks a lot better than they did last season.

Yes. Troy was 25-5 combined in 2022 and 2023 and Nevada was 4-20, plus this was a road game for Nevada. Most would've predicted two blowout losses for Nevada to start the season but neither game turned out that way.

It will be very interesting to see their game against Boise State. We know how well Choate does in rivalry games, I think he's going to treat that game just like he did the um game. I'm sure he harbors some resentment about being passed over for that job.
