There are a few fan cards that need to be turned in by Monday.

The in game portion of this thread is embarrassing.

To be fair, we were dead at 22-0 with like 50 yards of offense. You wouldn't expect sunshine on a fan board on a rivalry game day with those circumstances, would you? Especially when it was the same one dimensional stuff we've tried all year? I've owned my own negativity, i thought the staff did a wonderful job today, but it was ugly for awhile.

I haven't read any of the game thread but I would say no one needs to turn in their fan card as long as they buy all the beer for the next tailgate or two. I had to tell some buddies to keep the faith when we were down by 22 and when we won they came around and said lesson learned. I of course
made them buy me beers to help solidify their learning experience.

I'll buy. I never got the jeff choate belief until today. I said it earlier in the thread, that's what's striking about his teams. They buy in, they don't quit. You've got to believe you're stopping them on the goal line. You've got to believe you're ok at 22-0. And that belief comes from the top. I can quibble all day over strategy, etc but coach has guys that will play hard and believe until the end. I didn't get it before, i get it now.

As ugly as it was at times in the first half, the defense isn’t playing horrible. Not great, but not too bad. They’ve been put in bad spots all game with the griz starting around mid field multiple times. The griz have made some great catches and the Cats have shot themselves in the foot far too often with penalties.

On offense it was downright ugly, but that score before half was huge. They get the ball back after half and if they can make something happen on that first drive then it’s a game.

This team hasn’t given up all year and I don’t see it happening today.

The griz have s*** the bed more than once this year after halftime and the Cats have consistently been a second half team. Hopefully that trend can continue.

Along ways to go, but I’m going to look at this half glass full style for now.
If the griz score again before the Cats do in the second half, then it may be over.

Haven't seen Choate's press conference yet, but I enjoyed watching 9 minutes of Angry Beavis on UM's Twitter feed. He refers to MSU exclusively as "they" and "them" throughout and never mentions the team or any player or coach by name. Welcome back Bobby!

This. I was thinking the same thing as I listened to this. No respect towards the opponent or the big sky. He got trounced by what will be a seed in uc Davis as well. He still manages to make this comment. Go back to unlv or San Diego Bobby.

To those of you saying that people posting are "bad Cat fans"...c'mon. Emotional posting during the biggest game of the year--which started out as a trainwreck (I would challenge ANYBODY to tell me otherwise)--does not a bad fan make.

The entire reason this forum exists is because of the need to emotionally express ourselves. I would venture to guess that all of those "bad Cat fans" will be re-upping their season tickets in March.

I'm just saying...let's relax on beating the crap out of eachother. We all have high expectations; to a certain extent those expectations are probably somewhat unreasonable...we just want to see a proud program continue being proud. Today, we're proud. That's good enough for me.

Seriously, you care that much what other fans say during a ****** first half? Good on you, I guess. I don't know of any fan site, anywhere, including this one in its history, that is the sunshine and roses kumbaya site some of you seem to crave. If you were optimistic at 22-0 with 50 yards of offense, against a not- very-good griz team, here's to you. I'm glad we won, i respect what choate is doing here, and I still question TA at quarterback, although there quite probably was no better option. You can agree or disagree with any or all of that, but i think many of you need more to worry about.

Good post! Yes, there are a few fan Nazi's out there, but they're hungover today and quiet. Boards are a social connection, not a litmus test for true or false fandom. To say a good fan has blue and gold glasses and does not question anything the Coaches or players do in a game/season is naive, it's wrong. Of course we are all fans...even the one's you don't agree with. Get over yourselves...and Go Bobcats!!!
