I sit in the end zone and when he made that throw I thought it was a sure interception. If he hesitated another couple tenths of a second or didn't put exactly the right amount of air under the throw it would have been. That was a Payton Award throw right there, it's almost too bad we didn't get to see more of that in the regular season.
I thought it was going to be an INT also. After rewatching it several times, I'm convinced that Tommy got lucky as all get out. I don't think he saw the guy coming across from the left and just threw to Taco as he had his man beat. Sure looked good though! "Yeah, I meant to do that". :-^ :D
Listen to Ty McCullouch interview. I believe he says that they practice that. Mellott’s sidearm flip pass to Taco was also impressive just in the fact that he has the confidence and has been able to add that kind of throw to his repertoire.
