Stadium Expansion News For East Side?

...And it's something to do with basketball.

I'm thinking the plan must be to install a basketball court when the East side stands are redone. Outside practice facility maybe???

I realize we will hear about the new master plan soon, as Leon said we would at the KSAC unveiling, but this is my energy at the moment.

Well, tonight is the Blue & Gold Gala. Many people guested that this may be where the plan is unveiled. I really hope this is the case but am not holding my breath. If it is not now, I don't really know the next logical time they would make the announcement.

To me the logical time to make the announcement is whenever the funding for the project is fully in place and when they've had a chance to do enough planning to give an idea of the time frame involved and what the end product will look like when it's completed. I don't think it necessarily needs to coincide with some other major pre-existing event, it will generate a large amount of media attention and fan interest whenever the announcement takes place.

Very true, I suppose there's a big difference between announcing a master plan (here's what we want to do at some point) and announcing a specific project that's funded and is going to happen. From what I've heard about this at least in terms of a football stadium expansion I feel like it's going to be more of the latter than the former whenever it happens.

From what I've heard about this at least in terms of a football stadium expansion I feel like it's going to be more of the latter than the former whenever it happens.

This is probably splitting hairs but to me it seems like the most logical thing to do would be to announce both at the same time.

Nothing was mentioned to the full event…from what I remember. I can’t say if people talked with Leon privately during the social hour. I didn’t get a chance to try and ask anything during that time.
