CONFIRMED: Beaumont, Texas DB Sidney Holmes has given his verbal commitment to Montana State. It's my understanding that will be the last prep DB MSU recruits this year, but I'm still trying to confirm that.

He makes some poor reads every now and then but when he makes the right one, he is in the backfield fast. I'm not going to hold that against an outstanding athlete, especially since he hasn't even played college ball yet. That is why these kids get the amazing opportunity to redshirt and develop their talent without any worry of having to start. Like Hoy, it is the perfect situation to be in for a freshman in my opinion.

Appears to be invisible too, to the opposition at least. Doesn't get blocked very often in this reel. Can't tell how well he can shed. He loves to tackle and do it with authority. Love the speed.

Ojo played in 6A football. . . that's the highest classification in all of Texas and he looked big and good out there. I think he has a very bright future in front of him. . . its early, but he may be guy we won't redshirt.

If so then why not much recognition? It didnt look like anyone else even offered him a schollie. I will say he does look fast and explosive to me..his tape looks damn good but im no pro at grading recruits. Im glad we offered him but one side of me questions why nobody else was looking at him..or maybe he was getting looks that I didnt see?

I hear we offered him late and we were his only D1 offer. Why is that? Did he fall through the cracks? Everything about him seems like he'll be a stud. What's the drawback?

Tough question to answer, and maybe colter would be better. Despite the fact he appears to be such a good player he may have fallen through the cracks like Bryce Alley did last year for us. Alley played 6A ball, yet his only offers were from us, Central Arkansas (was actually committed there), and I think Weber State. . . Or better example is Justin Paige...only one D2 offer and us. Both players got time this season, both played big time high school ball, both may have gotten overshadowed.

If I remember correctly, we were basically the only school to offer Jody Owens... And that worked out ok

Good story! I really like the fact that he has 3 years to play 3. He should be a great addition along the defensive line because of his size and strength. It's also a good thing that he feels he has a legacy to fulfill.

Man of high confidence, sure hope he comes here and is ready to play. Could be a stud. Are we planning on using him as a Bandit or just at the DE position? I was guessing the D-Line would be Sheridan, Hutchins, C. Thomas and maybe Wilcox..? Wondering where these new JUCO DL men come into play

And we were the only school to offer Alex Singleton. There seem to be a lot of players in TX that get overlooked, which is why we have a shot. If I remember correctly, we were the only program to offer Darius Jones, Na'a, the only one that wanted both Prukop and DeNarius at QB. We were the only offer to Shawn Johnson also. I think our coaches are pretty damn good at finding guys that are awesome talents who are overlooked. I wouldn't be too concerned about a lack of offers from other schools. Besides, Ojo has only played LB one year, he had been a safety. A lot of guys are followed for years and if you're a late bloomer, you may not get noticed.

Looks like another QB, Stefan Kahn is part of the team as well, didn't see him listed anywhere.

It looks like he just retweeted BJ Ojo's tweet. Unless he wanted to say it the same way, but he quoted BJ's.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.
