Please. If you can link to even FIVE Griz fans who are seriously saying the Griz will blow out Iowa, I've got a nice $20 bill with Peter Gammon's face on it for you.
blowing out? no. but still shocking are the countless posts saying the griz have a shot. i'm all for the "any given sunday" mentality, but come on. cats say that we will beat the griz, and we're labled cocky. but blink, and the griz are beating the hawkeyes by a teader and a field goal. GRIZ FANS....PLEASE WAKE UP. YOU ARE NOT AS AMAZKING AS YOU THINK. YOU WILL NOT GO UNDEFEATED. YOU WILL NOT GO TO THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. AND YOU WILL NOT, I REPEAT, WILL NOT BEAT IOWA IN KINNICK, OR WASH-GRIZ, OR IN BOZEMAN, OR ON THE MOON. PLEASE, WIPE YOUR EGO AT THE DOOR, AND STEP INTO REALITY.
Yet, Cat fans are talking about a victory in Boulder. Pot/Kettle/Black comes to mind here. =;

I, for one, am hoping the Griz score, get out w/o any serious injuries, and hoping the $600,000 check doesn't bounce!

Go Griz and Cats (except for 1 game  )

EDIT: Had a Griz fan wrote what you wrote, they would have been slashed 100 times w/ a wet noodle downtown in front of the R bar.
Smack board  . :-^

Wanna know why?

Score from last years' Ok St. game: 15-10, and Ok St. was facing a serious rebuilding year (as is Colorado this year).

Colorado has a new HC (Dan Hawkins), lost Joel Klatt to graduation, and only returns 5 starters on offense; Lost both of their offensive tackles from last year to graduation; Had NO running game to speak of last year, and this year doesn't look much better; Lost the outstanding TE tandem of Joe Klopfenstein and Quinn Sypniewski to gratuation. So that begs the question: Who will run Hawkins much-lauded offense?

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2437329

I think the Bobcat Defense is good enough to counter a green offense running a new scheme (the same as Ok St. last year)

Nearly everyone returns on D for the Buffs (8 ), but last years' team gave up nearly 250 yards through the air per game (second highest total in the conf.), and led the conference with 250 first downs allowed.

http://www.big12sports.com/sports/m-foo ... fldrs.html

That is why some fans think we have a shot.

Now, why do I think some Griz fans are crazy? Read on:

"In this space last May, the Iowa running game and defensive line not only fell into the "Fall Questions" category -- they were the questions. The Hawkeyes were still searching for a No. 1 back and the entire D-line was lost to graduation. Fast forward a year and what do you have? A tailback coming off a 1,300-yard season and a defensive line that helped anchor the No. 3 rushing D in the Big Ten. Albert Young didn't miss a beat this spring and may be a serious All-American candidate. The line? They all return. In fact, there's not a senior in the two-deep and only two juniors. Quarterbacks across the Midwest will be seeing plenty of these guys the next couple of years."

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2433296

They return senior QB Drew Tate (62.2% comp, 2828 yds, 22 TD's 7 INT's, 143 Rating in '05) and junior RB Albert Young (249 car, 1334 yds, 5.4 yd avg in '05), and a young and talented D-line (see above).

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/pr ... rId=146009

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/pr ... rId=146012

Then there is this quote: "With Drew Tate and an explosive offense leading the way, expect Iowa to contend once again." (July 5, 2006)

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/content?teamId=2294

I think the Cats have a better shot at beating a rebuilding CU team than the Griz do at beating a reloading Iowa team.

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

i don't know about all the smack board stuff...but show me one post where a cat fan said we'd beat colorado, such as your countless threads of you beating iowa...and i'll show you an idiot! and you know what? a cat fan would never write what i wrote because we see things differently. we see the big picture. we're realistic. we're not cocky. class? both schools have it....so i don't want to go there. but your comment is great because a griz fan would never have to tell a cat fan what i told griz fans....because cat fans are not arrogant, and we understand that we are beatable. TELL YOUR FRIENDS.

do you have to know everything to post here? or just think you do?

Updated with ‘what-if’ scenario of UM possibly losing Chambers and Murphy. They will be significantly less talented in both areas w/o these two and it will cost them another game. I also worked in a win for UNC! Go Bears! Corrected error on WSU’s record.

MSU 6-2, 8-3...The Cats will eek past Cal-Davis. Win last 3 games and beat UM in Msla, but lose at ISU and at NAU.
ISU 6-2, 7-4...Lose to UNLV and Idaho. Good team, but they stumble on road against EW and UM.
EWU 6-2, 7-4...Two losses to I-As. Cent. Wash. might be tough after taking poundings at Ore. St. and W.Va. Conf. losses at MSU and to WSU.
PSU 6-2, 6-5...Lose all the non-conf. games. Lose to MSU and EWU.
UM 5-3, 6-5...The Griz lose to Cal Poly late in year. Swogger's passing pct. stays on a par with what it was at WSU sub .50%. They also get run on by EW's big line and Cole and lose there and the same happens vs. PSU where they lose a shootout. Having a hard time seeing them beat WSU, which has them at home after a bye week, at this point.
WSU 4-4, 5-6...Lose to CSU and Cal Poly. ISU, MSU, UM, and PSU all beat the W'Cats.
NAU 2-6, 3-8...Beat Dixie, but lose to AZ and Utah. Big win vs. MSU and they beat UNC.
SSU 1-7, 1-10...Beat UNC.
UNC 0-8, 1-10... No longer skunked. They have non-conf games against Davis, W.Ill. and Tex. State, it won’t be easy. I say they beat W.Ill at home.

MSU, ISU and EWU are 2-1, and they split with each other. ISU drops out with loss to UM. MSU beats EWU to win league. MSU is only BSC team to make it to the playoffs.

Ha. We'll see. My main point is that I think it will be a tough year for BSC teams against non-conference teams and the league is very balanced from 1-to-6. Can anyone win two games vs. nonconf teams this year? It could get ugly.
