Scott Turnquist was pretty darn clutch in his day. He recovered an onside kick at EXACTLY 10 yards against NAU in 2003, craziest game I’d seen (until the natty). And the dude caught EVERYTHING thrown his way.

Steve Largent is a good comparison

Who is this Taco guy that everyone is talking about? I mean, honestly, how good can a football player named Taco really be? I can't imagine he's worth ANY other school snooping around MSU trying to recruit him over to their program. C'mon, he's just a Montana kid - they're not that good at football, am I right? Really, all you other schools and coaches can just move along.....nothing to see here....

Might be recency bias but I'm thinking of all the plays he made during this playoff run that either flipped the momentum or flat out won the game... and that NAU game winner back when, and a bunch of others that I can't remember the details. Just clutch.

Love Taco!

Didn't he drop a pass in the end zone at Idaho that would have added 6 points to help win that game?

Just sayin'. BUT, he's been almost perfect since. Go ahead and give me grief for that.

Don't forget Taco's clutch play against NAU three years ago (I think) when we were in serious trouble.

Another example of what a weird season/game that was 2023.

And Tommy didn't make every throw or every run either, no player does. The whole of Taco and Tommy's work makes them the GOAT clutch players.

One of Joe’s best plays was one that he didn’t catch the ball. Anyone remember it?

Touchdown run against the gris in 1984.

They ran Joe’s (Big Special?) play but the ball went to Tom Mahlum. A pass I think.

His legendary career continues to grow…which still makes me wish he had the ball in his hands against the Bison last year at the end of the game. Hindsight is 20/20.

Taco ran a great route and made the catch but I think we need to also recognize Lamson here for standing in the pocket despite very heavy pressure and delivering a perfect throw.
That was going to be my comment but I don’t want to take anything from Taco. He made that throw from the far hash, off his back foot with a dude in his face. Another 1/10 th of a second and I dont think we’d be celebrating.
