Season ticket holders have priority to purchase new season tickets every year. That’s how I went from two season tickets to ten. There may or may not be some extra tickets available this next year. Ask your friend(s) to call the ticket office when they open up for new sales. Season ticket holders get a notice every year about new sales. The tickets will belong to the season ticket holder and they transfer them to you at the start of the season. I do this with my ten tickets. I transfer them to my family and a couple of friends that are on my plan. I also keep two tickets in reserve as giveaways to others. Not sure about transferring ownership, but that might be able to be done. I like keeping everything together in one plan though, because that helps me with my priority point ranking. You can always drop out if the stadium expands and you can get your own plan, but this is a way in the door.saintcat40 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 27, 2025 2:16 pm@AFCAT thanks for the reminder. Back to the letter. It’s really just a BS narrative. There is no proof that the majority of extra tickets were sold off for a profit. I’m fact, the exact opposite was the norm. I guess there was some gate keeping, Bobcat fans did make sure other Bobcat fans went to the game. I’m not going to apologize to this clown for that.

I’ve had season tickets since 2006, I’m a quarterback club member, and also donate to the bobcat club as part of the Season ticket requirement. I requested additional tickets, and it didn’t even make it down to me.
Even if the athletic department cut it down to four additional, probably even two additional tickets, it still wouldn’t have made it past season ticket holders.

Have had season tickets for 10 years and have been a member of QB Club, Fastbreak Club, 6th Man Club and donated to the IPF and a few other things annually. Got eight extra SRO. Sold five at face value to a friend from Whitefish for his Bobcat kids and friends. Gave the other three away to my lifelong Bobcat friend for his daughter and her friends. Don't feel the tiniest bit guilty of it.

My family has had season tickets in the same area since 1974. Where were this people when I couldn't give tickets away in the late eighties? We had eight of them. A lot went unclaimed and into the trash. Every year my dad paid booster fees and bought our tickets. Every year. I took them over long time ago after he got killed mowing our lawn. We didn't miss games even when we sucked and Reno H. Sales was empty. We kept buying our season tickets and paying the booster level fees. Now that we're damn good, people are belly aching that they can't get in? Guess what pal? Go pound F--king sand. I stood inline and got four extra tickets for Bobcat friends. Sold them for what I paid. Sorry some people are late to the party. But for a lot of us. We did the heavy lifting, long before the party line formed. Sorry if we want to dance first.

I agree 100% with all of these comments. The dudes letter said it should have been an opportunity for a celebration. Pretty sure we checked that box! Also he said how it was handled was an embarrassment. That’s totally false also as nothing embarrassing about how many Bobcat fans we put in the seats.

Season ticket holder, I have 12. QBC member and supported both the newest projects. I was fortunate enough to get 8 extra tickets. Gave 5 away for free to huge Cat fans that rarely get to go and the rest sold at face value. I didn’t even make all my expenses back but that wasn’t the point.
Looking at the 3rd party exchanges there was very little price gouging going on as only a couple hundred tickets made it to those sites.

And even though the asking prices were in the thousands, in some cases, I was never able to verify that any of those actually sold or very few

Stupid letter, not worth responding to. If the letter writer would like to attend a Bobcat game in the future I'd suggest going when it's easy to get tickets for opponents like Mercyhurst or Northern Colorado. Not the biggest college football game ever played in the state of Montana.

That’s my biggest issue. I don’t want tickets affiliated with someone else. I want my own and not be reliant on someone else.AFCAT wrote: ↑Sat Dec 27, 2025 2:11 pmThis has been discussed many times. You have to know someone. Get on another season ticket owners plan. See if they can acquire extra tickets for you.saintcat40 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 27, 2025 1:49 pmI unfortunately wasn’t ever able to get tickets. Somehow my daughters made it in (I will leave it at that). However, I agree wholeheartedly with the means by which the tickets were distributed. Those who have financially contributed the most should have dibs on purchasing extra tickets. It just makes sense. Honest question though. As someone who moved back to Bozeman area 5 years ago, I can’t figure out how to get season tickets. They are always gone before I get a chance to purchase them. How does a person get the opportunity to become a season ticket holder?

I was fortunate enough to get a ticket from a friend whose family has had the same seats since the early 90s. He had 12 total for the game and most were either given to Bobcat fans or sold for face value or far less. In fact he was giving tickets to a starting player’s family who needed extra.
Unfortunately demand far out exceeded supply. Someone was going to be left out.
I didn’t take for granted one second of my time spent in the stadium. It took 2 full days to get my voice back.

My wife and I were able to get 2 season tickets via the normal process through the ticket office as new season ticket holders prior to the 2023 season. So, we've only had the tickets for 3 years now. Was that the last time new season ticket holders were able to get in?

So you buy extra and get all the benefit of priority points rather than the new ticket holders. This is the type of thing people are complaining about. New graduates, fans who moved back to area, family situation changes so person can start attending do not have much chance. Current holders get first chance and if they use a scenario you lay out they get some tickets but none of the extra over the years. Is there incentive for the person you help to donate more. Do you see the concern with this and not opening up for new ticket holders first. It wasn't an issue for a long time but being at capacity it definitely can be.AFCAT wrote: ↑Sat Dec 27, 2025 2:28 pmSeason ticket holders have priority to purchase new season tickets every year. Wow, talk about entitled. Maybe some fans didn't graduate until the last 20 years and needed to get their feet on the ground before being able to take on season tickets. Do we not want a new batch of fans. I get the hate for the letter writer, but you cast a broad brush.PHAT CAT wrote: ↑Sat Dec 27, 2025 3:23 pmMy family has had season tickets in the same area since 1974. I actually don't see an issue. They opened up a pile of season tickets this year to the general public in the touchdown terrace, these definitely didn't sell out right away. I had friends get season tickets by calling last year.tetoncat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 27, 2025 6:37 pmSo you buy extra and get all the benefit of priority points rather than the new ticket holders. Nearly every business prioritizes customer loyalty and repeat business, it does make sense to me to give existing customers a chance to increase spending prior to bringing in new customers, especially if supply is limited.

Re: I Really Disagree with this Letter to the Editor in BDC
Everybody wants tickets to Cat griz, gold rush, and homecoming. Very few are trying to get tickets to Mercyhurst, unc, Portland State, D2 games, etc. Season ticket holders are the ones buying those tickets and putting butts in the stands for those games that casual fans won't buy and won't travel for. It's perfectly reasonable that season ticket holders get an occasional benefit, like the option to buy extra tickets for the more desirable games.
I'm not high enough up the list for extra seats but I did get a few extra SROs that I sold to friends for face value. I would've loved a few extra actual seats, but I get it, and I'm not going to whine about it.
