Have not seen it anywhere. Does anyone know if we were wearing dark or light colors then? I would think it would be dark colors with a higher rating, but I don’t really know.
MSU will wear their home uniforms as the higher seed. I wouldn't pay too much attention to the "home" and "visitor" side distinction as those labels probably just apply to the sideline Vanderbilt uses for their games.
Ok thanks... so can someone please confirm if we're supposed to buy seats on the East or West side?
Sections P - V will be behind the Bobcat bench, as per both the NCAA ticketing site and MSU's website.
Ok, thanks all for the confirmation!
Based on the attendance at Villanova, we will own both sides....
That was an away game for Illinois State and Illinois state has better attendance than Villanova. Illinois State is a lot closer to Nashville than it is to Villanova. So I’m guessing a lot more Illinois State fans will travel to Nashville. Illinois State average just over 9000 a game at their home games. Don’t know how that will translate into fans at the championship game but I would guess over 5000.
Maybe 15,000 Bobcat fans? 1000 miscellaneous fans. Total attendance 20 to 25,000 so so yes probably lots of empty seats.

Illinois State Average home game attendance this year 9120. So there will be good seats available on their side of the field.
Normal is only a 6.5 hour drive from Nashville and Sam Herder stated they showed out well in Frisco years ago….i bet they have 12-15k fans there. That said, I prematurely bought good seats in Section A, and instead of trying to sell and repurchase, we are hoping Bobcat nation fills enough of the stadium that it doesn’t really matter and we are still surrounded by Cat fans! (I already know of several others who are section A as well).

I don't see any team having more fans having more fans at a game 6.5 hrs away, even the chipper, than at there best attended home game. But if your info is correct they might have 10K there.

I wouldn't be surprised to see ISU have 10,000 fans and MSU to have 17,000 or so... ISU is pretty close to Nashville. I can easily see them getting 10,000 people out for the Natty. For MSU, flights are really the main limiting variable for most MT based Cat fans to not be able to show up. I know people from around the country that have much easier access to get to this game than MT based fans. There will be a TON of out of state Alumni at this game, and I'm sure we will have a fair share of people making the long 25 hour drive from MT to not miss what will be the best chance the Cats have to win a Natty in the last 41 years. If there are 27,000 fans in total at this game, that would only be 8,000 short from capacity, and an amazing turnout. This is a much better facility and field than Toyota Stadium in Frisco. We can now truly show how well the Cat fans travel. I know travel was limited, but last year, I'm almost positive that MSU would have had 16,000 plus if the stadium capacity was larger! Resale Natty tickets were ridiculously overpriced last year and that still didn't stop 12,000-13,000 MSU fans from taking over that stadium...

Definitely will be a Bobcat heavy stadium for sure. I just equate it to Cats playing a Natty in Salt Lake City. A night game you could drive to day of, still tailgate, one night hotel and drive home. Much more affordable and family friendly for anyone that couldn’t normally travel due to trip cost, etc. And if they were able to bring 9-10k to Frisco, hopefully they can bring a few more closer to home to fill some seats, I’d love to see it hit 30k total.

It sure would be nice if they picked a location like SLC or even Denver. Having it in Nashville and frisco favor the southern/(south-eastern for Nashville) teams dramatically more. Would be nice if they moved it around more often. Or held it in Vegas where it’s super cheap to fly into.

I would love to have it in Vegas! One thing I also want is the right size stadium so it looks fairly full with 30K there. That's not possible in a lot of big cities. Most major college and pro team stadiums are too big.

I bet if you had it in Vegas and Ndsu/sdsu were playing MSU you’d get 40k there. That would fill over half of allegiant stadium and still actually look ok. MSU vs dUMb might fill even more than that if it were to happen. The fear would be that you don’t have any of those teams and you get 10k to show up at a 65k stadium.

I say Minneapolis in the Vikings' dome. The stadium is climate controlled. The power in FCS is in the north. MSP is an easy airport to get to. If the right combo of teams are there, with a Montana and/or a couple of Dakotas there'd be 40,000 people there. It'd easily be as popular as the Celebration Bowl (or whatever it is) is in Atlanta.

Any cities in the west/midwest would be wise to submit bids in the next cycle simply due to the success and fan travel of NDSU/SDSU/MSU. We’ll see how the Vegas kickoff between MSU/NDSU turns out in ‘27!

Wat? SLC is an 8 hour drive from Great Falls. Nashville is like 31. Frisco is like 22. Driving or flying, Nashville isn't very easy to get to at all.

Ahhh, thanks, I get it now. I was thinking that at first but then thought the convo switched to MSU getting 10,000 to 12,000 to Frisco last year. Now I see the OP was referring to ISU when they went to Frisco eleven years ago. Honestly I didn't know they had ever been.

They had a great run in 2014. Beat Northern Iowa at home. Then went on the road and beat a really good Eastern WA then on the road to New Hampshire (I think) and narrowly lost to the bison 29-27. If I remember right, they were the #4 or #5 seed that year.

Hating the griz since 02.
