Yale head football coach to take medical leave of absence

https://www.wtnh.com/sports/local-sport ... f-absence/

Maybe why he didn't do pre or post game media.
Probably is but why not make players and an assistant available

Maybe the charter back home was waiting and they had a long trip back home. Hard to say.

Was referring to the ahead of time requests for interviews from Colter and others.

Every Yale fan I interacted with was great. The coach's medical issue could explain why he was not at the presser. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt.

I retract my criticism of the HC in another thread. Hope he turns the corner.

I can speak on the behalf of many Yale fans, all the ones I talked to at least and say that we were blown away with the hospitality and friendliness of the Bobcat fans.

This is a typically humor based barstool account but agree 100% with this. You guys made a great impression.

Yeah, we have to be careful with some of the criticisms of players or coaches being absent from these interviews. I remember the same criticisms coming from SDSU, after a game there with the Cats during the Choate era, when Choate missed a post game press conference. It turned out Choate was ill with appendicitis and had surgery when he returned home to Bozeman.

Bobcat athletics is a business to the coaches, school leadership, and players. It's time the fans treat Bobcat athletics as a business too.

I posted this in another thread (no inside info) but there are a lot of rumors online that he's had a stroke or strokes this season. They kept that in house, but it appears Reno wasn't really in a position to handle the press responsibilities.

That is unfortunate. Hopefully they get a handle on his health. And yes, the coach that represented Yale did not do a very good job in the presser. But he must’ve gotten thrown into the fire.

My biggest grip was earlier in the week type interviews. Completely understand not having players so they prepare for game and school. If head guy was unable due to health it would seem the SID would arrange for one of coordinators to talk.
