Weather went to hell in Kalispell yesterday am after we left. There was a large group of Cat fans waiting all day for clearance to leave for Denver via United airlines. I know they finally left Kalispell but my son flying United yesterday out of Kalispell at 6:00 got delayed 3 hrs due to “sleepy pilots” lol. Unreal.Anyway the time he left for Denver his plane was diverted to Huston as I’m assuming fog at Denver was an issue. He got to his hotel in Frisco at midnight. Safe travels everyone!

Of the early morning flights it looks like the Alaska flight to Seattle and the Delta flights to SLC and MSP left on time, while United to Denver and American to Dallas were delayed but have departed. Air travel is always a crapshoot this time of year especially in bad weather, definitely a good idea to travel a day or two before you need to be there if you can just in case something goes wrong. With the huge winter storm hitting the east coast and midwest this weekend there are going to be a lot of delays and cancellations out there the next few days.

Hey United kiss my ass. What a worthless company. In Billings they oversold the plane, so then they tried to get 5 people off it, enticing them with money, that took 20 minutes so we were already delayed. Then they wouldn’t allow any checked bags due to the weight of the plane, but in their brilliance they loaded it first so they had to unload it, then we de iced for a ****** hour on the tarmac in Billings. When that was done the pilot came on and said due to the wEight they needed additional clearance from dispatch due to changing winds. We were supposed to leave at 2:40 we left at 4:05. The connection is only made due to that plane being delayed in Denver. The guys coming from Boise and great fallls have even worse stories, they are going to be stranded in Denver until 9:40 tomorrow.

Will never fly United again, terrible operations.

Oh I forgot some lady brought a cat on the plane and it got out when we were de icing. She just thought it was so funny, if it would have delayed us further I would have done something illegal. Christ what a day.

It's not illegal yet in the US, but there is very significant required compensation in most cases if you are involuntarily removed from a flight due to overbooking. If you're delayed more than 2 hours you get 4 times the cost you paid for the flight or $1550, whichever number is lower.

Billings-Salt Lake on Delta left four hours late, missed my connection. Overnighting in SLC and catching a morning flight. I just keep throwing money at it but I don't care. Go 'Cats.

Got in the car at 0430, left Kalispell with 6 inches of snow on the road. Arrived in Missoula an hour before the flight to Minneapolis, BARELY made it but we got on. Almost full flight from Minne to Dallas, but made that one too. (Every freaking Kalispell flight was full, couldn’t non-rev like we wanted to).

Just grateful to be here, traveling is exhausting. Be careful out there Bobcats, take your time and get here safe!
