Re: 10-0
Our offense is scoring 42.4 points per game and our defense is giving up 16.5 points ppg. If we played our starters all 60 minutes those numbers would be closer to 52-10 and that's probably being conservative. Both sets of numbers are crazy through 10 games, regardless of the opponents.

Those are the sorts of numbers that Boise St put up against weak opponents the year they beat Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl or the Utah team that went undefeated & utterly dismantled 'Bama in the Sugar Bowl.coloradocat wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 10:23 amOur offense is scoring 42.4 points per game and our defense is giving up 16.5 points ppg. And, honestly, the schedule is a little bit soft, but not crazy soft...its still Top 40.
Crazy good across the board.

Re: 10-0
I think it was on Tuesdays with Tootell where they said the Cats are #1 in the nation on rushing yards, IN THE NATION! The numbers they've put up this far are just incredible. Clearly they have become a well-oiled machine. My opinion is this coaching staff has finally reached an elite level. Vigen has all the guys he needs bringing out the absolute best in the players. It's been a work in progress over the past few years, but it's all clicked into place this year. It's easy to be nervous about this week's game, as it's natural, and has been typical of this team historically to drop one, but looking at the season, the numbers, the plethora of playmakers, and the staff, we really shouldn't be nervous. This is truly a very, very special team!

And it isn't just rushing yards, they're also #1 in the FCS in Total Offense and Points Per Game. I'm more excited than nervous about the game tomorrow because even if they lose I've seen all I need to see to know that MSU has the capability this year to beat any FCS opponent home or away. Previous teams were greatly hampered by having to go play NDSU or SDSU on the road in the playoffs. I don't think this year's team will be if that happens at some point, although we all obviously hope that MSU wins out and we get three guaranteed home playoff games.nanacat wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 12:32 pmI think it was on Tuesdays with Tootell where they said the Cats are #1 in the nation on rushing yards, IN THE NATION! This! Although the flip side of that would be... if we can't beat UC Davis in their house, we aren't beating NDSU or SDSU in theirs! But enough of that negativity, I don't think it will come to that - this team is on a high speed train to hosting in the semi's! And to your point, of not, God forbid, this team just might have what it takes to topple a DSU in their house if it happens to come to that.MSU01 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 1:57 pmAnd it isn't just rushing yards, they're also #1 in the FCS in Total Offense and Points Per Game. Re: 10-0
All it takes to ensure we don't play at a DSU in 2024 is a one point win this Saturday and a one point win next Saturday. We're more than one point better than both of those teams.catatac wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 3:55 pmAlthough the flip side of that would be... if we can't beat UC Davis in their house, we aren't beating NDSU or SDSU in theirs!
