Any details? I know he was quickly coming on as a star end during the 2003 season, and then the dental thing knocked him on his butt. I assumed he would rebound, come back and be a force but I haven't heard any details on weight gain, strength, etc. :?:

I know that there have been several postings about roster adjustments, but it would be nice to be able to look at one page and say "yep, we look strong at that position, lotsa depth there, need some bodies there.........." It would also be nice to see a FULL roster, ie. one that has every BODY that suits up during the week in practice. Is this even a possibility or a pipe dream?
The website doesn't update the roster very often at all. Soon Bobcatnation will feature a full roster that we will try to keep updated as players come and go, so look for that sometime in the near future!

catatac, change you're avatar. It's getting me too exited for next year. Black on white text I can deal with... but no action shots, please.

I am already anxious to see how the team will do next year. As for backup safety to Force I would say that Corky Lindsay would probably be the guy, unless I am uninformed and he is gone or something like that. When it comes down to Birkeland, I like him at guard and would like to see him and Figueroa fight for that spot. The other guard spot will go to Bolton. Bolton is huge and can get out and move bodies no problem. His big problem is quickness to the outside, which inhibits him from being a good tackle. Unfortunately we saw that several times last year. Hirst and Jensen are going to be good tackles anyways. Our offensive line is probably going to be our most dependable strength next year, barring injuries. Only 7 months to go.... hehe

I recall the Portland State game last year and the size of the dogs on the interior of their defensive line. There were a few times when they were blowing our guys back, not because our guys weren't fighting their a$$es off, but because of the shear bulk and explosiveness of the PSU guys. Oklahoma State has their 2005 roster posted on their site. The only thing that really jumped out at me was the size of their DT's. Like this:
6-2 295, 6-0 300, 6-5 300, 6-1 310, 6-1 310, 6-5 340, 6-1 295, 6-3 290, 6-5 290. That's all of them. The last two are freshmen. Everyone else is a junior or senior. Our guys had better be eating their Cheerios.

I think I remember seeing that Lindsay will not be back in 2005 (transferring). We should have Fuller moving back to safety this year where I bet he could make All Conference 2nd team there or higher. The kid is a great hard hitting/tackler. He really came on after fighting through growing pains early in the year last year. Being thrown into the fire like that is just going to make him that much better and him and FORCE together I think we could have the best tandem of Safeties in the league with Grenfell (ball hawk) a very good backup at Free Safety. This will all be decided in spring/fall drills though and everyone is going to have to work/fight for a spot. Our OL and secondary could be really special next year I think.

A few things. Saucedo is definitely OL, and will be good. 90% sure Brewton is no longer playing, same with Mike Williams and Goins. Fuller is slated for FS not SS.

One more thing about Oklahoma State for now. I also noticed they "softened up" their schedule to lead off the season. They start with US, then Florida Atlantic, then Arkansas State. Gives them a excellent chance of going 2-1.

I heard that bolton is moving to gaurd because they want him to have an shot at playing on sudays. And i don't think there is a doubt that fig with be the other gaurd seeing how he was first team all big sky. Has anyone heard how hirst knee, jenson's ankle/leg, and wolfs ankle is doing? i think that the oline will be very deep this year, with the starters being, Hirst RT, Fig RG, Wolf C, Bolton LG, and Jenson LT. And then we will have Birkland to back up the middle three, and bolton can play anywhere on the oline as we have seen.

DL i think will be a good starting 3 or 4, with Rogers, Lowe, Cogley, and Matakis. THen there will be guys like Papich who could be good also the new kid from u of A. but you have to wonder why he left.

Coner is going to be in interesting battle during spring ball. I hope smith plays so we can finally find out how good he is. Hunter is going to be back and hopefully his shoulder is strong. Kory Austin showed us last year that he can play and he did get beat deep a couple times he still should have to be beat out by someone to lose his spot. Also there is the kid Ryan Kelly who was a freshman this year and am looking at him to contribute next year.
