I admit I was negative at first. Mostly, just disappointed because I love the Cats. However, there are a lot of great takeaways. Lamson so far so good, Dowler is stellar, our defense despite the score are adjusting well.

I like what I have seen out of Lamson so far. This is the fastest defense they will see by far this season. Taco is going to have a huge season. Like the plays over the middle. Not sure about the defense as of yet. They make some plays and tackle well, then they have a play that makes you go WTF!

The thing that we as fans can be realistically upset about is the procedure errors. Several false starts, a couple illegal formations (one that cost about 70 yards). Oregon is not forcing them to line up wrong. Need to be better in this area.

And wrapping up. Tackling once again isnt good. I realize these are elite athletes but can’t tuck the head, throw the shoulder and hope.

I saw him grab the back of his leg on the first (maybe 2nd) series of the game. Very quick shot on camera so couldn’t tell what it was.

MSU is throwing the ball a lot. If they were just running the ball and burning clock to get out of town it would probably limit Iregin scoring.

Many times the db’s were where they were supposed to be but just let the receivers bounce off of them for more yardage

I hope Lamson isn’t getting chippy with our linemen and is just being hard on himself. He has some fight and I like that, just hope it’s not negative energy.

I trust that in the future we will not schedule a game against a power FBS opponent. There are a ton of FBS teams that are NOT power teams that would pay a decent paycheck, and maybe we could come closer to matching the speed and physicality.
