Being the QB of the future doesn't make you the QB of the present.

The qb of the past is also not the qb of the present...Joe Bobcat wrote: ↑Thu Dec 20, 2018 2:09 pmIt can also be said that being the QB of the present doesn’t make you the QB of the future

yeah as soon as I sent that It hit me how that sounded. The scary thing is no pot involved. The best explanation is sleep deprivation. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
That was poster Dutch Lane over on Egriz I do believe.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 3:55 pmWho was the person that claimed that Choate told TA that the qb position was his. And that TA really wanted to stay at qb despite publicly saying otherwise? That was an interesting take.
Troy is going to do some special things on defense. And I bet he still does some fun stuff on offense too...
That one hurt my head.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 4:14 pmThat was poster Dutch Lane over on Egriz I do believe.ilovethecats wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 3:55 pmWho was the person that claimed that Choate told TA that the qb position was his. Oh he 100% will. But Chris isn't going to compete against the same Tucker Rovig as he did last spring. Also, add Bauman and Beltran to the mix. It will actually be a healthy spring competition this year.GoldstoneCat wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 4:26 pmI don't think a transfer is coming, either, based on his comments today (looking for a dt, maybe a receiver, punter/ kicker). Unless I missed it, I don't think he talked about a QB. Doesn't mean it can't or won't happen, of course. I still think #8 is going to play into this discussion before, and after, we kick off at Tx Tech.
Agreed, I'm excited to watch it. I just keep coming back to the run game options with jonsen, Murray, ifanse, patterson, and for maybe 5-7 snaps, troy on the field together . Will be interesting to keep tabs on in spring football.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 4:31 pmOh he 100% will. Agreed! I can't remember where Coach said it, but he did say that he was very comfortable with the QB's he had sitting currently in the room. Now Chris could come back as a reincarnation of Michael Vick, but if he steps on the field I would expect him to play in some very interesting formations and to make huge impacts wherever he plays. That said, I would be surprised if one of the 3 QB's is not the starter with Rovig at the head.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 06, 2019 4:31 pmOh he 100% will.
