Looks like he is the new TE coach there (per his Twitter/X account). Teaming up with Housewright who was recently promoted to Offensive Coordinator.
Good for him - did very great here and seemed to recruit very well.

Agreed seemed to be very good at recruiting. Position coach turnover is always intriguing because it’s usually up and coming younger guys that bring a lot of energy into the program

Huh....interesting. He's definitely an up and coming coach who I figured would move on at some point. That said, I figured he'd stick around the western US, as he really recruited Washington/Idaho area well for us.
Best of luck to him and a great opportunity for a new coach to come on board.
Mix has quite an inspirational story....really happy for his success.

That's a big loss on the recruiting side.
Thankfully Vigen has been very good at bringing in good coaches, so no concerns there.

I remember when that happened, terrible. But he has done so well and good for him to be moving up. He'll be a big loss though, not only for recruiting but I feel he was very popular with the players too.kwcat wrote: ↑Tue Jan 20, 2026 3:28 pmI think this was posted somewhere in a thread when he was hired, but I could not find itwbtfg wrote: ↑Tue Jan 20, 2026 2:42 pmHuh....interesting. Sam Mix has been progressing very quickly. Steadily getting promoted and stepping up each time. Now he is getting a chance at the FBS level.
Thanks for his contributions to the Bobcat football program and all the best moving forward.
