If North Dakota state is playing the bobcats it is very likely to sell out.
I’m not sure about that. The proportions in Frisco were similar to Nashville.
I think the new venue would easily reignite that fanbase to come.

Also, people shouldn’t sleep on SDSU. They could be right there.
It probably would, but their fan bases are smaller than MSU and UM.
Well I disagree with that. They packed Frisco.
They draw ~5K fewer fans per game than MSU and ~10K fewer than UM. They only use 85% capacity of their dome, and were hugely outnumbered in Frisco a year ago.

NDSU finally had real losses in the portal. Yes they have lost players before but A. not to the extent they did this year B. they lost offensive linemen which is unheard of for them.
Fraase and How are correct here. There are consequences to early playoff exits and real benefits to finishing on top. Cats reaped those benefits this year.

I think for the Cats, not just an early loss but when Vigen moves on it could be bad.

I think regardless, next year we will loose more. Some of these young guys that are trying to get bigger deals will. But if vigen leaves he is going to take a lot with him and it’s goi g to be inducing for a program to go that route. Look at Indiana and the JMU connection, SDSU when third coach whet to WSU and then again to ISU

I've been pretty consistent: I wasn't really concerned about Vigen leaving until he won a national championship. So now that a natty is checked off the list, I think theres a decent chance he bolts.

But I don't think hes jumping just for money. (NB, I don't have any sort of inside information). Hes looking to be a lot more like Curt Cignetti than Jeff Choate. Dude isn't going to jump for a bad job just to get a payday. Hes going to look for a job that puts him in a good spot to win football games.

I agree and because he won't take on a rebuilding mess, he hopefully won't take half our team with him. I'd be greatly surprised if he hadn't had head coaching opportunities before MSU. Found a place he could win and thrive.

Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do, but 48-23 may be the best of all.

@Colter_Nuanez said he didn't think Vigen would leave now. Do you still feel that way Colter?

I think some of you may be greatly underestimating the program that Choate and then Vigen have built in Bozeman. The foundation that exists is now much, much stronger than something that can be knocked down by one coach moving on to a new job if that happens. Enjoy the ride and trust the leadership of the university to be able to keep it going even if change happens.

If Vigen leaves and the next HC is an internal hire I don't think it's worse than after the 2024 season, it's probably somewhere between 2024 and 2025. The team will always be loaded with MT (and Sheridan, WY) players who play for name on the front of the jersey, not the name on the door of the largest office in the BAC.

Showing pressure on fourth down in overtime. They bring pressure. Lamson throws...Endzone! Caught! TOUCHDOWN!!! Taco Dowler!

And a kick away from a championship.

Here we go. Miles Sansted. Snap, hold, kick, Up, GOOOOD!! FOR A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!

I'm not sure "bolts" is the right word. He will be picky, and can be. But if anyone comes calling they must know he won't leave if his team is still playing, and in 2026 they likely will be again in January. He's built a terrific program, still has 2 sons on the team. Will that matter? His family seems to love it here. Will that matter? Did this last Oregon thing leave a bad taste in his mouth and cause him to realize he's got what he wants right here at MSU? No way to know but it will be interesting to see. For now I think we have him for 2026.
