As someone who went to college through the streak.. even though it ended over two decades ago..I’m going to keep embracing the Mony Mony. It gets the whole crowd fired up and we love it. As long as they call our stadium the Litterbox I will feel zero bad about the Mony Mony

Yep that’s the funniest part. They were the cockiest fanbase, and the most classless fanbase forever. They think just because they all say it’s not true today that that means it’s not true. They were awful to Cat fans. From their fans all the way up to their head coach and leader of their program. The guy who claimed he wouldn’t spend a dime in Bozeman. Before his daughters went to MSU that is…… The guy that wouldn’t let his team stay in Bozeman. The guy that called on griz win an “asskicking” in a post game interview. Or his famous saying he wanted another quarter to beat our asses more. And this is their face of their program. And they loved it. Loved our winless season. Loved us losing to Chadron. Had a heyday with our terrible chapter of coaches and drugs and murder. They were SO high and mighty. And this went on for decades. I lived through it. It was terrible. Now all their fans just pretend none of those days happened, and they were a perfect fanbase. It’s just more delusion.

Now the shoe is on the other foot. We’re beating their asses in just about everything. They hate it. And they’re getting a taste of what we dealt with forever. Now suddenly they want fans to just be oh so classy. Don’t say mean things. Don’t sing mean songs. And the more they whine about it the louder and longer it’ll go on. And while they have some really good fans over there; in the big picture they are getting exactly what they gave us for two decades. And they didn’t see it then, so we can pretend to not see it now.

Also forgot the part where Bobby got off of the bus in Bozeman and flipped the crowd off, and when he took his nephews hat off at a family gathering and pissed on it. (Heard that directly from the dad of the kid, so do the math).

Ah it’s feelers are hurt


I started reading this article and I’m thinking definitely a boomer that is trying to say we wherent that bad during the streak towards cat fans.

But the little jabs throughout the article just kept making my blood boil a little more and a little more. Don’t try to ask for a truce when you mention “the best game day experience” being Bobcat stadium west. Don’t expect us to stop mony mony when you continue to mention the streak ftc and poor bobcats. These are all the reasons why mony mony exists, this is why we do it because it gets under your skin.


Damn right it was being sung in Nashville and across the state. We have DOUBLE the national championship football teams as the fizz. We have more conference championships than the gris (soon to be tied in big sky play). And we won two cat griz in one year, and kicked your asses in the first playoff meeting. ESG GCG

Seeking attention (or relevancy) not for what you’ve accomplished, but creating a negative narrative about someone else seems common when you have little or nothing to offer. This author, many griz fans, and to some extent the media attempt to draw attention to themselves through this tactic - a tactic meant to draw you down to their level. Meanwhile MSU and Cat fans continue to accomplish amazing things - case in point the amazing celebration today for THE NATIONAL CHAMPION BOBCATS!

As JP Flynn said on a recent podcast, and I paraphrase, why look backwards at the griz and tactics like this. They are the ones grasping for relevance.

Exactly what I came to post. It was like the guy who jumped on his horse and took off in all directions. May also have broken the record for most weak metaphors per page on a Palm Pilot.
