After seeing Crews have arms completely around his neck, from behind, in the Championship, and it not be a hold, I would say what is in that photo is pretty clean.

I don't think the qualification for holding is assault.

But also, a lot of legal actions can look like holding in a single frame. Watching the play vs Yale at full speed it wasn't holding.

Jones is the player I have been least concerned about potentially leaving. If MSU makes another deep playoff run in 2026 he has a great chance of holding every career rushing record by the end of his junior season.

I surely hope you are right! On the other hand I’ve been most worried that Adam could leave. Doesn’t he truly have the highest ceiling of any current player? If I were creating a Rose Bowl team from scratch Adam would be the one I’d take. Size, other-worldly speed, pass catching ability and all the intangibles. I suspect that Mr. Jones has a tall stack of very real offers to sort out — football just went from fun to real.

That said, I selfishly want to see his number blasting gris bodies into the end zone for two more years.

I'm sure he's had some FBS interest/ offers with his talent level, but I think RB is one of the least sought- after positions in the portal.

There are a lot of good running backs available out there. From what I understand that is what Eli Gilman found out that his services were not in his high demand as people thought. Same with Dawson from ISU.
Not trying to take anything away from either of their skills just happens to be a lot available

Good points. Just my belief that Adam’s at the top of the heap, as a guy that can make your football go, running or passing.

If I'm understanding correctly, I don't think there's a second portal opening this spring, as in previous years. So this week is their one opportunity. Unless something happens where we lose vigen this offseason, then all bets are off.

First of all, under the old rules that most of us grew up with pretty much every offensive lineman holds. But with the new rules, of course if you hold in the front between the pads you won’t get called. The difficulty for a good offensive lineman is learning when to let go as an escaping quarterback or in this case a fake punt goes to run and the defense identifies that runner they tend to hold onto too long and end up turning the player or pulling them down at that point.
In the Illinois state game, the holds on Zach Crews and Kenny Eiden were egregious as well as consistent hands to the face. They let a lot more go in that game than what is typical
RittenHouse was good at getting rid of the ball quickly, which was part of their game plan as we were getting close to getting pressure in some of our stunts were finally getting home in that game.

Oh for sure. But the comment was offensive starters/contributors. I dont think that number will climb after spring.

Saw that as well. He seems to be connected to the team somehow, and is careful to only post what he knows, so I'm guessing Zimmer is back too.
