I'm excited for Chambers. A job like he had here is only intended as a start into coaching. A year or two gig. Then off to a new place to learn from a new coach.

And CB coach to DC is awesome. Hope that they beat the griz. If things continue from this year they have the opportunity to have 2 or 3 losses only. Arizona is probably a loss. Incarnate Word..? And us hopefully. If they beat the griz everything else is really winnable.
At Portland State? Seems a bit optimistic.
He is referencing Cats CB Coach Greene that went to NAU as DC.

So far the only two I care about losing are McMillan and Jefferson. Williams is good but wanted out bad enough to post a week and a half before the NC game and Johnson had the worst game Monday I have seen a CB have at MSU. Good player but replaceable.
Carson Williams is probably the best of the portal players and has a real shot at playing for an elite FBS program.

Great recruiting to get him to MSU and thanks for the title.

Bobcat athletics is a business to the coaches, school leadership, and players. It's time the fans treat Bobcat athletics as a business too.

Very classy.

While registering my vehicles the assessor stated "I have had both Cat and Griz students and alums work for me and the Griz end up working under the direction of the Cats."

He has his degree and what a way to end that part of his life as a player.

Thanks Chris!

Chambers -> Iowa State Off QC
Greene -> NAU DC
Belligerent said a different QC coach is going to PSU to coach CBs.

You can't spell dUMb without UM and now you can't spell grizzLLies without 2 Ls.

Sorry to see him go, but he should get a good degree there. Hopefully he found what he was looking for. He'll always be a National Champion, and had HUGE play to make that happen. Best wishes to Jhase.

Ugh. UCLA? They're not very good. I really hope they are paying him at least 100K. WIshing Jhase the best and will never forget the blocked FG.

UCLA has a beautiful campus in a place that some would consider to have far more desirable weather than Bozeman, plays its home games in perhaps the most famous college football stadium in the country and competes in the best conference in the country. NIL aside I can see the attraction there even if he won't win as many games! Best of luck to him, it will be good for MSU if he does well there!

Does anyone have any insight on what the internal conversations with the coaches and players might be right now—or rather the timeline until the 2026 team meets for the first time next week? I’m sure in this day and age, after the season ends coaches will meet with players about where they’re at in the program and if they *could/should* seek other opportunities for more playing time, etc…I’m excited to see the next group of young guys develop and step on the field, but I also see the staff wanting to add a few transfers to help fill some holes as they have the past several years. With Ife announcing his transfer, I believe we are still 1 spot over the roster limit? If we don’t bring in any transfers, who are some young guys we should expect to make an impact next year?

Ife?

Someone posted after watching Dane Steel's interview, that the team meets Wednesday.

Reed Harris looks like he's getting some huge money to go to ASU, no surprise there.

Any news on Hayden Hanks from anybody in the know?
Link on how much Reed might be getting, and how it's structured? I honestly have no idea how it works, if it's multi year, if there are stipulations, injury clauses, etc.

Nothing is public as far as how much he is getting. Can only go off of what top 5 portal WRs are getting paid. It's easily $500,000 plus, I wouldn't be surprised if it is around $1million because he is regsrded as a top 15 portal player overall this year.
From all available sources, ASU doesn't have anywhere near the NIL budget to pay a single guy a mill.
20 mil annually.....you could pay a guy a mil
22 starters plus presumably some of the backups & special teamers are getting paid too. Thank you for proving my point: With a $20m NIL budget theres a 0.0% chance that a WR is getting paid a million bucks. A QB or blindside OL? An edge? Yeah, maybe ASU scrapes together enough for one of those guys. Not for a WR.

It's also a top 10 university. A degree from UCLA is an order of magnitude different than a degree from MSU (and MSU offers a really good education). LA is also a really easy trip (easier than Bozeman) for family and friends from Texas.

And, lets face it...theres a reason that The Beach Boys wrote a song about California girls.

If my kid had an offer to do anything at UCLA, its an easy yes every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Best of luck to Chase.

A degree from UCLA gets you a job in California, that’s it! Nobody else cares!
