Someone said he is listed on On3 website…. With visits lined up…. I don’t know anything about that site or what it means….

So, I'm sure alot of this was expected. Sigh. How many more? Will the Cats be gutted?

It looked like the Cats were gutted last year and here we are with a National Championship trophy. Every team is going through this. It will be fine. We have players ready to step up and fill these spots.

I actually think many of the major expected departures are now already in the portal. I'm glad they didn't mess around and just rip the bandaid off so we can focus on the recruitment of other portal targets if need be. The portal closes on the 16th, so by then we should know what next year's team will look like. Like you said, we will be just fine. We got some DUDES waiting in the wings. 6 foot CB Kayden Steptoe is coming in as a true Freshman and should be able to start or rotate right away. Steptoe is a dawg, and was very highly recruited. Thomas, Boyd, and Carr are ready to go as well. They will keep the young DB success going strong.

Look, I'd love if these guys all stayed, but they are going to get a very meaningful, and in many cases life-changing amount of money to move up. If you look at most of our portal guys last year, almost all of them (ironically with the exception of Scottre who was probably the most touted) ended up starting, several for Power 4 schools (an indication of just how much talent our team had last year.) All of the guys this year seem to have had good experiences in their two years here and all can help us with our recruiting pipeline down the road. It would not surprise me to see any of them in the NFL, and I expect most of them will have warm words to say about us and our program.

The system is idiotic and needs to be fixed but don't blame the kids. Be delighted if one stays, but if they are not a Montana (or maybe ID or WY) chances are that a lot of them are going to move on if we have big success and that may be what's best for them. For a few (including Lamson for example) I'd argue it makes sense for them to stay.

Last year we took catastrophic losses between graduation and the portal and came back and won the national championship. Even with very heavy portal losses this year, I am confident we can do the same next year.

A lot of the DBs leaving are expected. They are extremely talented, competitive, and want to play at the highest level they can. That, plus the money, makes it awful tough to pass up the opportunities these guys are getting. They all played hard, played with swagger, and helped us to a natty. The coaches knew this was coming, and have recruited accordingly. I’m so glad we had the chance to get these guys, and got to use their talents to help us win the first national championship game in 41 years. These guys are Bobcats, and I hope they have success moving forward. And, if they don’t get the opportunities they want out of the portal, I’d love to have them back, as long as they were in good communication with the staff.

Exactly. Maybe it is. I’m not sure. I actually just scrolled through the safeties listed on On3 and didn’t see him, but maybe I’m missing something.

Hard to be visiting with surgery scheduled. I believe it was today. Not saying it's not happening (the visits) but he yad surgery scheduled before the game yesterday. Will be lucky to be ready by September

Somebody on eGriz is purposefully or ignorantly copying a supposed tweet from Pete Nokas of On3 without realizing that his real name and handle is Pete Nakos.

Caden & Taco may leave, I would assume, but nothing has been announced yet.

I did some digging, and if I'm not mistaken, HookedonGriz started the rumor over on Egriz about some reporter saying Caden Dowler is in the portal on On3 website, and now that rumor has made it over here somehow. I looked all over to find Dowler on there. I went to Caden's twitter, Instagram... nothing to be found. If he did in fact enter the portal, we would surley be hearing from him first.

Those guys over on Egriz also said Lamson is likely leaving just because he didn't strictly say he is going to run it back on camera after the game was over. Delusional land over there.

Exactly! Cedric is a very good player with great potential, he will be missed. However, we got some guys that might end up being even better than he was. If we hold on to Titan, Zimmer and Mastel, we will be more than fine!
