Even officials are expecting 25-30k in attendance... Looking promising for attendance numbers!

My realistic guess is 7,000-10,000 ISU fans since Normal Illinois is only 6.5 hours away, and 13,000-16,000 MSU Fans. So anywhere from 20,000 to 26,000. That would be a solid turnout for MSU against a non -DSU school!
Ow way. They only average 4000 fans for home games. Now way that will double with a 7 hour drive.

My prediction; 2000 ISU fans. 20,000 bobcat fans.
Numbers are sure all over the place. Last time ISU played in Frisco some of their fans estimate they had around 5000. Doesn’t sound like they sold their ticket allotment of 4000+. But I would guess as close as they are that many will be picking up tickets when they get there. I sure hope they have more than a couple thousand.
I would be very pleasantly surprised if we broke 20,000 fans of our own.
I know quite a few NDSU fans personally that still plan on going. Don’t know if that is reflective of their entire fan base or not. I know several UM fans that are going as well.
I am not expecting a good ISU turnout given they couldn’t even sell their own ticket allotment. I saw a Facebook post where ISU was basically begging fans to purchase tickets. And how many fans actually make travel arrangements without having game tickets lined up? That would seem to be a pretty small number of people.
Many more than you think. When we went in 2022, I bought fantastic seats around the 35 yard line (albeit in the NDSU section) for cheap as we were sitting in the Cody airport waiting for our delayed flight. This was on the recommendation of many Bison fans on the Any Given Saturday FCS forum who obviously had many years of experience. In a stadium the size of FirstBank, game tickets are not the problem; travel is. There's pretty good seats around the 25, Row 14 for under $100 right now. Really kicking myself for getting way-too-expensive suite seats on the way-too-far out forecast showing a high of mid-40s and rainy. Oh well. As long as we kick @$$, it's all worth it!
I feel you! Waiting for ticket prices to drop though is a risk, especially if you are buying for a group of people wanting to sit together. No guarantee you will find that many together. That’s the situation I found myself in. They aren’t going to make plans until tickets have been secured. On the other hand, if you wait to book a flight prices go up.
Yeah, the bigger the group, the tougher to get tickets. I think groups of 4 are plentiful but more than that gets tricky if you all want to sit together.

A pre-planned work meeting (not by me) next Monday/Tiesday means I can’t go, but my brother and nephew flew into Memphis yesterday, got $8 tickets to the Liberty Bowl today (MSU’s future if they go FBS), and drove to Nashville tomorrow then back to Memphis to fly out Tuesday afternoon.

Saved them well over $1000 and that’s with the car rental.

Seattle to Billings to Missoula to Bozeman to Portland to Billings

What a ride

We did the same.....currently on our way to Houston and then Memphis this evening. Driving over Sunday am as the rest of our group of 10 isn't getting in until then. Going to enjoy some Blues and BBQ. Saved us well over $1000 and better times. We fly out Tuesday afternoon as well.

Same here, some work stuff on Monday is keeping me home (don’t get me started on that situation), but my wife and mother in law are flying into Louisville and driving to Nashville. Saved a ton of money doing that way.

NCAA ticket sales has released tickets from ISU and they are now for sale. MSU side hasn't been released to the public yet.
ISU had 3 sections.
MSU has 4 sections, that is why we got the visitor side - more seats to sell to us.
I wouldn't think the NCAA would give preferential treatment to one school over the other, for 1. Second, we got the visitor side because our side of the bracket was the lower seeded half of the bracket if things went chalk.
The NCAA decided before Cat Gris 2 we were visitors. The diagram for seat sales has Montana/Montana State visitors and UCDavis/ISU home. They know who travels. More seats on visitor side and as someone noted, more camera shots of the visitor side than home. The NcAA wants fans on tv so it doesn't look like the other bowls or cfp with low ticket sales

Dang! I'm starting to think I was dead wrong thinking the attendance wasn't going to set an all time record... SO happy to be wrong on this one!!!

The record will be set because of the fans of Montana State University. We're here, we're there, we are everywhere!

Here, there, everywhere! Maybe we can change the culture from now on so that this won't happen again: At the first Natty I attended in 2021, the hotel where we stayed (Omni) had NDSU posters and decorations everywhere.

We will be the designated the home team for the game, since we have the higher seed. Home/visitor sideline is based on what Vanderbilt does for their games. I would assume the NCAA always puts the "home" team opposite side from the cameras, since that's how it was in Frisco as well

Nearrly all hotels, bars, and some restaurants had done the same. Even in 2024, it was algae and p!ss-yellow everywhere

Looks like they are painting over the Vanderbilt branding on the field.

So we got that going for us... Which is nice

I think the FCS needs to make a serious consideration about moving this game to Nashville for good. I can’t make it this year, but just looking at photos and watching people’s videos, I would rather be in Nashville this year than Frisco last year.

The NCAA loves money, so if this game draws a bigger crowd than Frisco did then I'm sure they absolutely will consider a permanent move. Having a stadium with essentially unlimited capacity has to be appealing to them. I'm sure the local businesses love the boost as well at what I'm assuming is usually a pretty quiet time for tourism.

Well we do get two years in Nashville for certain….this year and next. Not sure after that.

I suspect a lot will depend on attendance and energy from these two years…as well as length of contract remaining with Frisco site.

While Nashville doesn’t have the flight volume for affordable airfare, it’s miles better than Frisco in nearly all aspects. I too hope it stays in Nash Vegas.
