Some posters will be very upset at those who leave. Others will defend their choice.

All posters will be happy when key players don’t leave.

Then it happens again after Spring Ball.

All of this will happen except the last sentence, since there's no longer a Spring portal window starting this year. We should have a pretty good idea by mid-January of who's leaving and who's staying.

Agreed. I think this is what Saban has suggested along with OTSs in summer to replace spring ball.

I'm really surprised Jake Vigen never really got there in terms of being a major contributor.

I’m surprised that he’s worked his way up as high as he has. He has made a ton of improvement since coming out of HS.

Yeah as of right now, Jake is likely the #4 DE next year in the rotation. He needed a lot of physical development to get where he's at but he should be there next year which would be his 4th year in the program.

We could only dream about a WR room of Reed Harris, Taco Dowler, Dane Steel, and Jabez Woods next year. My goodness that might be the best WR room in MSU history if that happens in a different timeline. But sadly, like you said, he is going to get some big $$$ from another P4 school. He is currently the 2nd highest rated WR in the portal on 247Sports, and the 9th rated overall.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think his brother is getting recruited by MSU for '27 HS class... Reed has 2 years of eligibility left... That would mean he could technically have one year where they can play together at a school. We could dream, but much like 'Moose' Ludwig, can't get mad at him for chasing money and better competition. Being arguably the best player on a 2-10 BC team and having a modest NIL deal clearly wasn't cutting it for him.

His dad played in the league. I am sure he will do well with that size and ability. Hoping he ends up somewhere great. Probably hurts our chances on landing his little brother though. A person can dream.

I'm selfishly hoping he ends up at Oregon. Oregon seems like a great destination for him; they have the $$$, coaching, and regionality that he would be after(closer to home for his family).

If Dante Moore comes back for one more year instead of declaring for the draft and Harris has that kind of QB throwing to him, he will put up crazy numbers the next two years. I think he has a legit shot at the NFL. He certainly has the athleticism and frame for it.

There has been a kid this past week showing up to granite fitness in Billings that looks exactly like Reed. I don’t know if it’s him, and I’m damn sure not going to ask him, but it’s an uncanny resemblance.
