#13 Jackson Harmon
Vigen's review of the Super Brawl included one heartwarming anecdote. On a frizzly kickoff return, I believe early 4th quarter, Wortham returned the ball to around the 20. The tackle was made by senior Jackson Harmon (#13), who met Wortham head on and drove him onto his back. According to Vigen, it's the only play Harmon has made in his entire career, due to his very limited playing time. He made the point that this kid has done everything asked of him for four (maybe five) years and hung in there and finally had his moment.
For lots of kids, this is their experience. No limelight, no pressers, no BN threads. Just putting in the work and supporting the team. These kids are just as important to the program as the full time starters.

It was awesome for Coach Vigen to bring that moment up. It’s easy for all of us to remember the players that make the “big” plays and have the most stats but there are so many others that put in the work to make our program successful that the average fan will never know about. Without these others, we would not be where we are now.

Players like that could end up starters at most Frontier conference programs but are in it for their MSU degrees and helping their teammates play better via practices.
I have some friends from the 1990s who did the same and those teams weren’t close to what MSU has today in talent level.

This is an amazing shout out to a young man who stuck with the team, was probably asked to do everything on scout teams, and sacrificed several years to finish out his degree at MSU. Congrats to Jackson Harmon!
I was curious about him so read his bio. He did have very limited playing time, but does look like he had an interception vs. Maine in 2024 and a handful of tackles over his career. But still, what an amazing testament to a young athlete pursuing his dream.

Re: #13 Jackson Harmon
I heard Vigen say this as well.
I'm pretty sure Jackson had a pick last year against Maine, and he's had a handful of tackles throughout his career.
That said, definitely a cool moment for him to get in there and contribute in such a huge game.

That wasn’t just a tackle, it was a de-cleating ! Now that’s how you tackle.

Re: #13 Jackson Harmon
Wasn't he slated to be a starter at couple years ago? Everyone was super excited about him and he got injured like the last week of fall camp?
Kudos to him for sticking it out and bring one of the unsung heroes that make a program work! 🫡

I remember him being mentioned as a recruit from AK. I thought he’d do well. The fact that he’s been the model of consistency, loyal, and team guy is just as outstanding to me as a guy like Brott! Heartwarming that a young man stays and works his butt off for the degree.
