They have a three headed monster in Rittenhouse, Sobkowicz, and Dawson. It all comes down to Tommy Rittenhouse who is on an absolute terror through the playoffs.

UCD game is good. The others are not better than other QBs Cats have faced.
I am surprised not better as it seems like they hit a few big plays a game.

Re: Illinois State
I think Rittenhouse may replace the short passing with running. From the games I've watched, he really likes tossing the ball up and letting Sopkowitz go get it. Low percentage, high reward passing game. I wonder if he will be able to dink and dunk like some other qbs have been successful doing or if he will be mostly relying on his legs to extend long drives. We'd better have a plan to spy him if the latter.tetoncat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 27, 2025 11:00 pm14-22 146 0 0Common Cat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 27, 2025 9:57 pmThey have a three headed monster in Rittenhouse, Sobkowicz, and Dawson. With the number of teams we’ve defeated this year with (enter number here) headed monster, our team is definitely a Greek Hero or Godzilla.Common Cat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 27, 2025 9:57 pmThey have a three headed monster in Rittenhouse, Sobkowicz, and Dawson. Rittenhouse can really hurt you if you let him get out of the pocket. He is also mistake prone. I wonder if the Cats can bait him into a few picks? We will cash in on them if he does.technoCat wrote: ↑Sun Dec 28, 2025 11:12 amI think Rittenhouse may replace the short passing with running. They both were on the coaching staff at Eastern, Illinois, but at different times. Spack also spent some time at Wyoming before Vigen was there.

May be in comparison to regular season. I just don't consider any of those outstanding other than the UCD game. I like Cats chances if they have to throw 40+ times to get 225 yds.Common Cat wrote: ↑Sun Dec 28, 2025 9:25 amGo back and look at his conference stats compared to playoff. But hes got a passer rating of 140 on the year...Cats have faced 8 QBs with better ratings on the year...and one of those guys twice.
Even taking out the terrible NDSU game hes still is about a 130 passer. If the Cats can hold him to 130, I think that bodes well. If the Cats put the screws on him like NDSU did, I like the Cats in a 30 point blowout.
