Speaking of excuses, I wonder if they held back this game? Bobby is playing chess remember…
Probably prepared for Troy Andersen
So many gems from the mouth of that guy. RTD, indeed.

I just watched the presser in full and booby said basically when their two receives got hurt that was the reason because they were crucial parts of their game plan...so I guess he is admitting he is a ****** coach because no way to recover from losing those two players...he took lots of subtle digs at MSU..classless POS>

My gris friend is absolutely a typical gris fan. He really got his shorts in a was over the "impolte treatment" that we provided to him.
As for Bobby, I went back and watched the replay of the hit on Taco and that was a no brainer targeting call. For BH to go on about that being a terrible call and "turning point" is absurd. For one thing, I don't think we even scored following the call. I'm just thankful that Taco is okay. When I saw the hit I was terribly concerned. THe reaction from some of the gris players was really bad as wel
Bobby has won exactly ONE Big Sky title since RTD and has lost his last three to “State,” with two of the losses being blowouts. The entire program has just that one title in the last 16 seasons.

I’m not sure there is a more overhyped coach in conference history considering how bad the Big Sky was during most of his first run, and their program now just seems stale and gimmick schedules it’s way to good regular season records. 8 home games in a regular season almost worked, too, had MSU not beaten this overrated team in Missoula to close out the season.

Complaining about a clear targeting call is so on-brand for this guy. It’s never Bobby’s fault, even with elite facilities in FCS and a booster base that spends money to get players like Wortham, who probably should have been used more since he is the best player on the field IMO.
Bobby's biggest weakness is his pink-shaded glasses. When you can't recognize the other team's strengths and ignore your own, you can't make the necessary adjustments to win. Bobby will always be known as second-place Bobby, or, as my friend calls him, "Duece Hauckalow".

He seems to think that he is the reason for The Streak when the reality is the program has regressed under his watch.

Got his coaching job standing on third base and has taken it to the second-best program in the state.

I really couldn't be happier.

Because of who/what UM is, and what the BSC is, they're almost guaranteed to get at least 8 wins a year. Likely always win the first round of the playoffs. Never be able to beat the best teams with the defensive scheme they run under Bobby, but never do quite bad enough to justify firing him. It's the perfect combination.

UM scored 20 straight points after Shafer/Davis injuries. Shafer was a key injury. He’s very good and I believe a big part of their game plan(s).

UM was 16-1 pre-Hauck and is 10-13 since. UM leads all time series 77-45-5(?) but Hauck is 7-8 (imagine being 7-8 and bragging about that all-time series record  ) and UM plays in Bozeman next year after losing 27 of 44 on two deep, while MSU loses 9 of 44.

Since 2010 the Griz are 5-10 vs the Bobcats.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).
