It's not a Brawl of the Wild. There's a trophy for that and the Bobcats have it. Super Brawl is much more descriptive of what we have here. Heck, we even brawl over the tickets.

Some seem to put great store in the "it's hard to beat a team twice in the same season" myth which the Bobcats have dispelled twice recently.

Home field should be an advantage and Bobcat Stadium (based on recent history) is now just as difficult for visiting teams as wagris. gris haven't won in Bobcat Stadium in recent memory.

As a significant rivalry game, anything can happen, but Bobcats have demonstrated that they can handle some adversity.

I don't know anytime I've ever seen a 6 point favorite...at home...statistically better or tied in every single category...

I am so stoked about today, and oddly, not the least bit nervous. Two really good teams playing today, glad we're at home, I'll be fine no matter what happens, but Cats are gonna win today.

I LOVE that we get the opportunity to beat the gris twice in one year. Imagine taking a big bite out of that team 2x’s and getting the pleasure of watching them eat humble pie…again!

Okay, so beyond the pleasure of beating the gris again, the bigger picture is that we have NOT YET accomplished the goal for this team since 1984 and let me say it slowly, IT.IS.TIME!

We have been THE team sitting on the brink of breaking through to a national championship! There have been great Bobcat teams who have been to where we are now, but they have all lost at this level of success. Is this the year? We have the support to get this team into the championship game. I wish I was able to be in the stadium and witnessing this win. It’s going to be a moment in time that will live on way beyond today for decades to come. This Bobcat team is going to be carried on the energy of their work, their record, and Bobcat Nations cheers!

We also have the Offense to score on anyone and to win by a little or a blow out today! I can see this game being a nail biter, but I can also see it being a blow out. Which will it be? I think it depends on how well the Defense plays and there in lies my confidence. We’re battle tested, experienced, and we have the coaching and talent to put any team away with a stifling D! I expect a great Defensive display today. Um will get some plays and score some points…but this Defense will stifle the gris and will be carried on by the cheering of Bobcat Nation.

This game feels a bit like the playoff game we had to play against Weber a couple of years ago. We heard the same thing that year that we’re hearing regarding the gris…”it’s hard to beat a good team twice in a year”…”the Cats are struggling with injuries”… etc. etc. etc… but we went down to Weber and dismantled them! Today will be that kind of win for the Cats.

I’ve watched the Cats for 4 decades and my confidence is in the collection of tools and timing, and the “it factor” that I see with this years team. Can I be wrong? Sure…am I wrong? we are only 6 hours away from kicking it off and settling the hand wringing, the hopes and dreams of the collective sacrifices made by the coaches, and each of the young men who take the field today!

We have the rarest of opportunities to make history happen at MSU, but today is that day…….. I don’t see us missing the moment!
So Bobcat Nation…get up and cheer, stand with the moment and embrace this day! Let’s GET THIS! Go BOBCATS GO!

If I were them, and I saw how yale was able to get under our skin, I'd probably try similar.
I've been trying to get my thoughts together all week on this. I really wonder if the "get back" motivation is really that big of a factor this week. It's such a different dynamic as a semifinal, with the ability to be a 10ish pt favorite in Nashville, I doubt that score-settling will be top of mind either way. I also wonder whether the game can live up to the hype and expectations a second time. In a way I hope it doesn't and we are able to just cruise in the 4th to a win.

This game shouldn’t be close. Amazing how confident the community college is after getting thumped 3 weeks ago. Will be a boring second half. Cats by 3 scores.
