The AI Pick is in
I asked ChatGPT to see who would win. This was the response:
"Assuming you mean Montana State Bobcats vs. Montana Grizzlies (FCS semifinal) on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025 in Bozeman: the most likely winner is Montana State.
Why I’d lean Bobcats:
They’re the home team and favored by ~4.5 points in the betting market.
SI
+1
Multiple previews/predictions I’m seeing also lean Montana State in a close one.
Underdog Dynasty

HERO Sports

My pick: Montana State by 3–7 points (something like 34–31)."

Gemini helped me "write" an article.
Battle for the Big Sky: Why the Bobcats Own the Rematch
BOZEMAN, Mont. — For the 125th time, the treasure state will stand still. But this isn't just another "Brawl of the Wild." For the first time in this storied century-old rivalry, the Montana State Bobcats and the University of Montana Grizzlies will clash in the postseason, with a trip to the FCS National Championship on the line.
While the Grizzlies (13-1) enter Saturday with a "revenge tour" mentality, there are three definitive reasons why the No. 2 seeded Bobcats (12-2) will defend Bobcat Stadium and punch their ticket to Frisco.
1. Dominance in the Trenches
In the November meeting, the Bobcats rushed for a staggering 241 yards, averaging nearly six yards per carry. The duo of Julius Davis and Adam Jones—supported by the dual-threat capability of quarterback Justin Lamson—proved too much for the Griz front seven.
Montana has improved its run defense in the playoffs, but they have yet to face an offensive line as physical as MSU’s. If the Bobcats can control the clock with 14-play drives like they did to seal the regular-season win, the Grizzlies' explosive offense will be left cooling their heels on the sideline.
2. The Justin Lamson Factor
While Montana’s Keali'i Ah Yat leads the FCS in passing yards, he is facing a Bobcat secondary that allows less than 200 passing yards per game. More importantly, MSU’s Justin Lamson has been the epitome of efficiency. Lamson completed 18-of-20 passes in the last meeting and has thrown only three interceptions all year. In a high-stakes semifinal where a single turnover can end a season, Lamson’s "gamer" mentality and ball security give the Bobcats a massive edge.
3. The Fortress of Bozeman
The atmosphere at Bobcat Stadium is a literal game-changer. MSU is 3-0 at home in FCS semifinals under the current era. The "Gold Rush" crowd doesn't just provide noise; it fuels a defensive line led by Kenneth Eiden IV and Zac Crews that thrives on quick get-offs. With Ah Yat dealing with a lingering knee injury that limits his mobility, the relentless pressure from the MSU edges—amplified by 20,000 screaming fans—will be the deciding factor.
The Verdict: Expect a heavyweight bout. The Griz will find the end zone through Eli Gillman, but the Bobcats' superior line play and home-field advantage will carry them through.
Prediction: Montana State 35, Montana 28.

Re: The AI Pick is in
Picked us to go to Frisco. Since the championship is in Nashville, the AI credibility suffers.
Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do, but 48-23 may be the best of all.

Re: The AI Pick is in
only problem is we are only 2-0 (2021 and 2024) in FCS semi-final games. Lost in 2019 and 2022 on the road in the semis.

Re: The AI Pick is in
Are you saying it's a problem that we win at home and lose on the road?

Last two games we had AI posts were Oregon and Yale. One a loss in a game we would never win, and the other a poor performance. This thread has cursed us

I cannot express how much I loathe AI and the people that use it for the most inane prompts.
